WelcomeDear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the 4th International Inter-disciplinary AOCMF Course on Skull Base Surgery in Vienna. During this year‘s three-day intensive course, we will focus on lateral skull base surgery offering a unique learning environment combining both lecture and hands-on cadaver dissection components. The lateral skull base is an anatomically complex region, whose enormous variety of pathological entities requires a multidiscipli-nary team in order to provide optimum diagnosis and therapy. Advances in diagnostic imaging, surgical techniques and instru-ments, and a better understanding of the skull-base anatomy combined with the advent of microvascular free tissue transfer and therapy have all been important features in the evolution of skull-base surgery. During this course outstanding local and international speakers with a high level of competence and expertise and with an ex-ceptional portfolio of teaching skills will provide the participants with contemporary strategies in the interdisciplinary management of lateral skull-base surgery by sharing their experience, principles and philosophy. This course will offer invaluable and up-to-date information to both experienced and beginner surgeons. We are sure that our course will meet your expectations, enabling you to not only consolidate your knowledge of current practice but also to gain a firm grasp of the latest breakthroughs in the field. It will also give you an excellent opportunity to visit Vienna’s histo-rical sites and enjoy a variety of cultural activities. We wish you a successful and fruitful course as well as a pleasant stay!

See you in September!
