Tag Type Definitions • <> tags

• Used to format or dictate what content will map to the output • Cannot be used directly (as [] tags) – intended to be used within report sentences of test exec & points to the structured data to be pulled when applicable

• [] tags • Internal processing fetches the actual data value to be displayed in the output • Used in tooltip, screen displays, and output properties • Additional tags can be appended as suffixes to control the actual display format

• _ tags • PrognoCIS-defined tags used exclusively in Letters • Used to pull multiple different values from the same structured data

• $ tags • Used to indicate a specific value rather than a general variable • Displays the specific value defined after the $ rather than pointing to the element Note: This allows you to organize output in specific sequence per requirement.

• Custom $ tags • Lets you dictate specific value/placement of that value • Can point to structured data or dictate format in output template

<> Tags (HTML) • HTML tags must be started & stopped to apply formatting correctly

• <tag> starts the formatting • </tag> ends the formatting

• Some common, frequently used ones are:

Tag Function

<b>, <i>,<u> <strong>

Formats text as bold, italics, or underlined Formats text as strong for emphasis

<big>, <small> Displays text in larger or smaller font size

<br>, <p> Adds a line break or inserts a paragraph

<td>, <tr> <tbody> <table> <th>, <tf>

Inserts new cell or new row to a table Defines the body in a table Inserts a table as receptacle of data Inserts a header or footer into the table

<li> <ol>, <ul>

Inserts item into a list (ordered or unordered) Inserts a list either ordered or unordered

<hr> Inserts a horizontal line (or ruler)

Not all available HTML tags* may have useful relevance within PrognoCIS.

Report Sentence Tags • <TEST> - inserts the name of the element exactly as entered • <RESULT> - inserts the value selected by the user in the structured data when answering the element on the template

• Applicable for all result types • Displays contents defined as “Value” unless overridden by “Sentence”

• <BOOLRESULT> - applies values specified in the Special Text fields • Overrides hard-coded behavior applied from Boolean Result Text master (i.e.: when no tag at all is used in the Report Sentence field) • N/A with “J” value of Applicable Test Fields property

• <REMARK> - embeds the element-level remark(s) if applicable • <HISHER> - inserts his/her as pronoun based on gender from Patient Register • <GENDER> - inserts he/she as pronoun based on gender from Patient Register • <NL> - inserts a new line (applicable only in Report Sentence design) • <BR> - inserts a break (also applicable within HTML design) • <UNIT> - inserts the elements units if applicable

[] tags point to the structured data that will display in the output and do not work in HTML formatting.

[] are represented within HTML view as <>.

Report Sentence Tags (cont’d) • <MBULRESULT> - use with multi-select Result Type to display as bulleted list • <MNOSRESULT> - use with multi-select Result Type to display as numbered list • <ISARE> - use with multi-select Result Type

• Validates for use of a comma or the word “and” • Applies to Remarks also if there is no hard stop in the remark

• <PLURAL> - use with multi-select Result Type to add “s” when applicable • <SUBTEST> - concatenates all answered subtests based on group # assigned • <IF ^> - use to define conditions as to the content displayed in output based upon the value selected in the structured data

• See example on next slide

• <CONTRA> - use with multi-select Result Type to itemize out all of the values in the multiple choice element that were not selected for that element’s answer

• See example on next slide

Some behavior of tags may be dictated (overridden) by hard-coding defined at Result Type level.

Report Sentence level – output conditional based upon the structured data • Defined at the element level to conditionalize the data that will be displayed • IF(=None^The patient has not been previously treated for <HISHER> pain.^<GENDER> has received prior treatment for the pain.)

• Based on value selected matching what is specified after =, the report sentence content will display what immediately follows the first ^ until the second ^ • Any other value selected, the report sentence content will display what follows the second ^ • Operator may also be > or < in addition to = when defining primary condition

Output Template level - specific letterhead by provider based upon format • IFF(^[ENC_AD_NAME_FNAME]^=^Karen^[CL_DIAGRAMS$Letterhead_drcruz]^^) • IFF(^[ENC_AD_NAME_FNAME]^=^Leonel^[CL_DIAGRAMS$Letterhead_drguerrero]^^) • IFF(^[ENC_AD_NAME_FNAME]^=^Katherine^[CL_DIAGRAMS$Letterhead_drkatherine]^^) • IFF(^[ENC_AD_NAME_FNAME]^=^Samuel^[CL_DIAGRAMS$Letterhead_drsanchez]^^) Note: Template name = Forms Letterhead.

IF/THEN Tag - Examples

https://lpmg.prognocis.com

No brackets required (PrognoCIS tags defined to apply formatting logic) • IF ^ = use to define conditional results based upon selected value • IFF ^ = applies conditional logic to the output template

<CONTRA> Tag - Example In conjunction with multi-select Result Type, this tag will list all of the non-answered values of a multi-select list in the negative context of the answer

“The patient reports <RESULT> and denies <CONTRA>.”

Applicable Test Fields • Further formatting options may be applicable regardless of tag used

• e.g.: a tag may be present in report sentence but not displaying in the output

• Some values in this property are not directly linked to tag behavior

Options related to Tag behavior • U = Unit • R = Remark • B = Blank default multi-select • J = Join Boolean results • S = System name prints bold at start of detail • Q = embeds subtest as result • N = Notes

Tag Prefixes for Output Templates • [HL_] = Hyperlink

• When logged in as Provider, this links to the actual template from the Progress Note • Serves as a placeholder when viewing (even if blank)

• [ENC_] [LASTENC_] = Encounter-level data • [PT_] = Patient-level data • [SCHREP] = Appointment-level data • [CL] = Clinic-level data

< > tags do not work in output template configuration. However, if in HTML View, [ ] tags display in < >.

• [_STR__LINE] – display each template based on Report Sentence definition • [_STR__PARA] – wrap all templates together into 1 paragraph in the section • [_TBL] – display the data in a tabular format • [_NOTES] – append notes at the end of the data when used as a suffix

• Note: This tag may also be mapped independently so notes are isolated.

Tag Suffixes for Output Templates

Tag Suffixes (cont’d)

_ Tags • Used when different data content is required for the very same question • Can be used in conjunction with other tags as well – such as [] and $

All letters need to be addressed; however, for each recipient, the actual value is different. Hence [ ] tags cannot be used because they point to

specific values & would thus be the same.

$ Tags • Used when specific data content is required in a specific location of the output • Can be used at various levels (i.e.: Template, Element Word, Element Sentence)

User must specify variables to include or select specific value.

$ Tags (cont’d) • Used when specific data content is required in a specific location of the output • Can be used at various levels (i.e.: Template, Element Word, Element Sentence)

RESULT$ vs. WORDS$ (cont’d)

Lets you turn just a few answers into an

entire dialogue.
