The Award

Greentech Foundation established in the year 2000 based in New Delhi (India) is

proud to announce 15th Annual Greentech Environment Award 2014.

The award in its 15th year will be presented to companies/ organizations and theirunits demonstrating the highest level of commitment to environment management.

Greentech Environment Award serves as a catalyst to understanding the intrinsic

value of environmental management in business excellence and sustainability. The

award aims to recognize exemplary environmental operations and systems and the

evidence of their impact to business vitality.

Judging

The nominations will be evaluated by a panel of distinguished Environment

Professionals and Personalities. The panel of judges will consider nominations that

provide evidence of outstanding Environment Management and practices that

impacts the organisation and community positively.

Objective

1. To encourage and motivate to adopt environment protection practices and

become Role model for others to emulate.

2. Reward the employees to stay committed to environment protection.

3. Encourage implementation of strategies for improvement in Environmental

operation Standards.

4. Recognition for outstanding contribution to environment protection.

5. Emphasize the duties, responsibilities and concern to protect environment andsave from pollution and damage by taking preventive and corrective measures.

6. Instill confidence to succeed.

Eligibility

All Large, Medium and Small Scale Industrial / Service sector companies /

organizations and their units of following sectors are eligible to be considered for

Greentech Environment Award :

Nominations will be evaluated on the basis of the Award Year/ Performance Year2013-14 and track record of preceding two years. (Calendar year or Financial year).

Award Rules & Regulations for Submission of Nomination

1. The award nomination will be treated for ONE office location / project / unit /factory only.

2. Separate nomination along with applicable fee should be submitted for each

location / project / unit / factory.3. Application with all information and documents alongwith Applicable Award

Processing Fee should be submitted within prescribed date.

4. All the pages of Rules & Regulations and Application document should benumbered and signed with official stamp of the Authorized Signatory.

5. Incomplete documents / information will attract less marks accordingly and caneven be rejected.

6. No second opportunity will be allowed to rectify information or to provideadditional supporting documents after receipt of application. It is advised tosubmit the information and documents carefully and as per sequence of the theapplication format.

7. Documents / Information not submitted as per the sequence prescribed in thethe application will not be considered.

8. Attach a separate Annexure mentioning List of Abbreviations (used in theapplication document) and Expanded form of the abbreviations.

9. Application sent by Fax or Email is not acceptable.

10. Nomination documents will not be returned back.

11. Nomination for Greentech Environment Excellence Award should comprise ofthe Application Form duly filled-in alongwith supporting documents, one sethardcopy (printout) and one soft copy in CD and Award Nomination ProcessingFee and should be submitted/couriered to:

Closing date for the Nomination is 30thSeptember 2014.

12. By sending your nomination, it is understood that you agree to make your Site,Plant, Equipments and Management System and concerned records availablefor inspection by Technical Committee Members of Greentech Foundation.

13. It is also understood that you have No Objection in using & publishing Name &Logo of your Organization, by Greentech Foundation, for promotional purpose

of the award.

14. All possible efforts will be made to maintain secrecy of the information in thenomination however, Greentech Foundation will not be liable for any loss ordamage arising out of disclosure of information furnished in the nomination.

15. Greentech Foundation reserves the right to withdraw any award at any time.

16. Greentech Foundation reserves the right to award more than one Award inGold, Silver and Bronze category in various sectors depending on merit ofapplicants.

17. Scheme of Award can be changed at any time.

18. Greentech Foundation reserves the right not to disclose: Number of applicants,

Name of applicants, grading / marking system.

19. Greentech Foundation reserves the right to publish particulars relating

Environment Practices, Initiatives and Achievements of the nominee for

dissemination of knowledge.

20. If necessary, provide information on separate sheet and attach as Annexure. All

Annexures should have serial number and the same (Sr. No.) should be

mentioned in the respective points.

21. Any appeal/ canvassing or correspondence shall not be entertained. Decision

of Greentech Foundation regarding Award presentation shall be final.

22. Nominations can be submitted every year to prove continuous efforts towards

Excellence in Environment Management.

23. Personal Interview/ Presentation

It is mandatory for all the shortlisted nominees to send their

representative for personal interaction and presentation before the

Technical Committee Members of GreentechFoundation, as perschedule to be intimated.

Nominees should ensure that their representative is given one copy of the

nomination (application) documents including all attachments for his/ her

reference.

The Technical Committee Members will expect the representative to be

familiar with what is mentioned in the nomination documents.

Failure to participate in the Interview/Presentation Program will result in

rejection of the nomination.

24. Site Visit

Technical Committee Members of Greentech Foundation (consisting upto 4members) may like to undertake Site Visit of shortlisted nominee company/

organization/ unit. In such case, professional fee for the Technical Committee

Members, their suitable travel arrangements, boarding & lodging during the sitevisit will be taken care by the concerned nominee organization.

25. Final Selection

Nominations will be assessed as per the criteria by a Panel of Technical

Committee Members and shortlists will be prepared and winners will be

announced.

All the nominees will be intimated whether they have been selected as

Winners or not.

Greentech Foundation reserves the right not to disclose reason(s) for notbeing selected as Winner for the award. Decision of Greentech

Foundation will be final and binding.

Award winners will be invited to attend the awards presentation program

as per schedule.

Nominees must agree to abide by decision of Greentech Foundation. Decisions

taken by Greentech Foundation regarding the awards will be final and no

canvassing or correspondence will be entertained.

26. Award Presentation

Trophy and Certificate of Award will be presented in presence of prominentpersonalities from Govt., Industrial Sectors, Trade Association Representativesetc. during Greentech Environment Conference.

27. Winners need to do

a) Representative of the Winner Company / Unit must be present to receivethe award at the time of ceremonial program of presentation of the award.

b) Persons interested in participating in the award presentation programmust be registered with Greentech Foundation as Conference Participantby sending nomination form alongwith prescribed participation fee.

This is an excellent opportunity for professional development andnetworking with corporate level key executives of various companies fromall over India and some foreign countries.

Acceptance

On behalf of my / our organization I / We accept to abide by the rules of Greentech

Foundation and also accept that decision of Greentech Foundation regarding theAward shall be final. I / We further declare that all the information furnished and thedocuments attached are true.
