INFORMATION REGARDING PARTICIPATION OF TEACHERS IN THE

FUNCTION OF NATIONAL AWARD TO TEACHERS, 2015 IN NEW DELHI

*(Please note that this is a TENTATIVE Programme and is subject to

Arrangements have been made at Hotel Ashok, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.

ISBT etc. to the Hotel is as follows:

ii) In addition, you will be entitled to the following:

(a) Actual Bus/Steamer fare as the case may be for distance

where no Rail link exists. Bus/Steamer tickets will be

required to be attached with the Bill.

(b) Conveyance charges as admissible under the rules from

your residence to the nearest Railway Station, Bus Stand

or Steamer Station and back from Delhi/New

Delhi/Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station to the place of

stay in New Delhi will be allowed.

iii) Cash receipt in support of Rail Fare/Bus Fare paid may kindly

be brought with you and attached with the TA Bill.

4. Award Money

Award Money of Rs. 50,000/- will be given to you through a Bank Draft.

You are requested to intimate in advance the Canara Bank Branch or

alternatively a Branch of State Bank of India on which Demand Draft is

required.

Important Note: You may please note that Bags, Radio-Transistors,

Tape-Recorders, Cameras, Binoculars, Arms and Ammunitions, Mobile

Phones, Pagers etc. are not permitted in the Vigyan Bhawan, Mughal

Garden, President House.

GUIDELINES OF DO’S AND DON’T

i) Awardee teachers should fill up the Performa given by the Ministry

of Human Resource Development (MHRD) officials on duty for

claiming TA/DA immediately on report at the hotel.

ii) Awardee teachers are informed that only one companion is allowed

to stay in hotel with him or her. The arrangements for boarding and

lodging of more than one companion will have to be made by the

Awardee Teacher from his/her own resources.

iii) Awardee teachers as well as the companion are advised to hand

over the keys of the hotel rooms at the reception counter as and

when they leave the hotel.

iv) Awardee Teachers are advised to inform the MHRD officials on

duty of their movements outside the hotel well in advance so that in

case of emergency they can be located. It would be appropriate if

they spend more time at the hotel for security reasons.

v) Awardee teachers are strictly advised not to stay with their

relatives/friends in Delhi so that they are not left out/stranded

thereby missing important engagements.

vi) Awardee teachers not following the timings as advised from time to

time will be liable to miss the engagements and they would be

solely responsible for that.

vii) Awardee Teachers are informed that no room service in the hotel

will be provided and Awardee Teachers and their companion

should take breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner at the

designated place on handing over the meal coupons given to them

for this purpose.

AT PLACE OF STAY (HOTEL ASHOK) :

viii) Awardee Teachers are requested to take care of their valuable

belongings including cash and jewellery during their stay in the

hotel.

ix) Awardee Teachers are informed that charges for telephone calls, if

any made from the hotel room, will be borne by the Awardee

Teachers.

x) Awardee Teachers and their companion should strictly ensure that

no liquor is consumed in the hotel rooms.

xi) Children below age are not allowed to enter Vigyan Bhawan.

Awardee Teachers are advised not to bring their children below the

age of 12 years to Vigyan Bhawan.

xii) Photograph of the function of 4th

and 5th

September, 2016 will

be sent through email and by post to all the Awardee Teachers

free of cost. The photographs will also be uploaded on the

website www.mdm.nic.in Teachers are advised not to purchase

photographs from any vendor.

xiii) Awardee Teachers are requested to submit their requests for

additional passes for their family members to attend 5th September

function at Vigyan Bhawan by 3rd September, 2016 to the

reception counter at Hotel Ashok.

xiv) Awardee Teachers are requested to follow the

instructions/information provided through SMS/email to avoid any

inconvenience during the function. The information will be sent to

the mobile numbers of the Awardee Teachers from time to time.

xv) Awardee Teachers are advised to keep their Certificate and Medals

in safe custody. In case of loss of these items, it will not be possible

to issue duplicate set again.

xvi) Awardee Teachers are also informed that they have to vacate hotel

by forenoon of 6th

September, 2016. If any teacher wants to stay in

Delhi beyond 6th, they may contact to their respective State

Houses/Bhawans for their stay. The Resident Commissioners of the

State Houses/Bhawan have been requested to provide

accommodation to the Awardee Teachers.

xvii) Awardee Teachers are also requested to maintain punctuality,

decorum and discipline during the call on Prime Minister on 4th

September, 2016 and award ceremony on 5th September, 2016.

They should give round of applause to their fellow teachers at the

time of their receiving the award from the Hon’ble President of

India.

2. AT VIGYAN BHAWAN – REHEARSAL ON 4TH

SEPTEMBER,

2016

i) Awardee teachers will be taken in buses for dress rehearsal at

Vigyan Bhawan on 4th

September 2016. Awardee Teachers are

requested to board the bus assigned to them as per their Awardee

Number.

ii) Awardee teachers are requested not to carry any hand bags,

camera, lighter, electronic items, mobile phones, arms,

ammunition, cash, jewellery, etc. while attending the rehearsal.

iii) The instructions given at the time of rehearsal should be strictly

adhered to during the programme.

iv) Awardee teachers are requested to maintain strict discipline during

rehearsal and not whisper amongst themselves.

3. DINNER HOSTED BY Hon’ble HRM ON 4TH

SEPTEMBER,

2016

i) Hon’ble Minister of Human Resource Development will be hosting

dinner on 4th

September at 1900 hrs. Teachers are advised not to

hand over any representation, either written or oral to the Hon’ble

Minister of Human Resource Development.

ii) Awardee teachers are advised to participate in the dinner in a

dignified manner as befitting the occasion.

iii) Awardee Teachers are advised to maintain appropriate distance

during group photograph with Hon’ble HRM and follow their group

number for photograph.

iv) Awardee Teachers are strictly advised not to raise any slogans,

recite poems during interaction with Hon’ble Minister for

Human Resource Development during lunch.

4. AT VIGYAN BHAWAN – AWARD FUNCTION – 5TH

SEPTEMBER, 2016

i) Awardee teachers and their companions are strictly advised not to

carry any mobile phones, hand bags, camera, lighter,

electronic items, pens, etc. while attending the function at

Vigyan Bhawan on 5th

September 2016.

ii) Awardee teachers are strictly advised not to bring their

children (below 14 years of age) to Vigyan Bhawan to witness

the function.

iii) Awardee teachers as well as their companions are advised to

strictly follow the instructions given by the MHRD officials.

iv) Awardee teachers and their companions are advised to strictly

maintain silence during the award function and not to whisper

amongst themselves during the duration of the function.

v) Awardee teachers are advised to maintain appropriate distance

from the Hon’ble President at the time of receiving the award.

vi) Awardee teachers are advised not to make any representation

or presentation to the President either orally or in written,

which will be viewed very seriously.

vii) Awardee teachers are advised to strictly observe the instructions

issued while receiving the award from the Hon’ble President.

viii) Awardee Teachers are advised not to recite any poems, raise

any slogan during the function or at the time of receipt of

award. Any deviation will be viewed seriously.

5. SIGHT SEEING

i) On 4th September, Awardee Teachers and their companion will be

taken on sight visit of Delhi. Awardee Teachers and their

companion should strictly adhere to the time table given by the

guide / staff of the Ministry.

ii) On 5th

September Awardee Teachers and their companion will be

taken to visit Mughal Gardens in batches, details of which will be

given separately.

iii) Awardee Teachers and their companion are advised not to wander

about in the Mughal Garden and strictly follow the instructions

given.
