WHO WE ARE
ECPAT Indonesia is a national network of organizations and individuals working together to eliminate child prostitution, child pornography, and trafficking of children for sexual purposes with 23 members in 11 provinces in Indonesia.
The network was initiatively established by a number professionals and organizations committing to work together against CSEC (Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children) in 2000.
WHO WE ARE
ECPAT Indonesia is the official network member of ECPAT International (www.ecpat.net) that works across 75 countries in the world. Our affiliation to the international network was started in 2005 and registered as the National Group for Indonesia in the beginning of 2012.
As a part of a global network, ECPAT Indonesia is involved in the implementation of various initiatives on key issues at both national and regional level. The involvement of the national coalition is to be followed by the members at provincial level on behalf of the national initiatives. Our commitment is strengthen national actions in the efforts to prevent and eliminate CSEC within the country by building collaboration with crossed-sectoral key stakeholders include civil society actors and broader child rights organizations, academics, professionals, government bodies, private sectors, international agencies and many more. Our presence is to ensure the state community and the government to take serious action addressing this severe crime.

OUR VISION
Every child in Indonesia is free and protected for any forms of commercial sexual exploitation and the fulfillment of fundamental rights of the children is guaranteed by the whole elements of the society and government
OUR MISSION
Mission towards members: To build strong commitment and cooperation, adequate capacity, and broader network in every effort to combating CSEC
Mission towards society: To build and raise awareness, cares, critical value and participation of society at large, children, and young people to work together in combating CSEC
Mission towards government: To encourage the government to commit and make tangible efforts at both administrative and legal affairs to combating CSEC in Indonesia
WHAT WE DO
Advocacy works towards government agencies and key stakeholders at national and provincial levels on policies, regulations and legal reform to strengthen the national plan of action for the elimination of CSEC
Capacity building for members and relevant strategic groups on CSEC through technical supports, trainings and workshops
Data collection on the situation of CSEC through series of baseline surveys, rapid assessments and researches
Dissemination of any information on CSEC through socialization, seminars, round table discussions and conferences
Raising public awareness on CSEC through developing campaign materials and communication tools
Promotion of children and young people participation programs against CSEC through establishing youth groups and developing community-based programs for prevention
Care and supports for child victims and survivors through direct service program includes rescue, repatriation, rehabilitation, re-integration and empowerment
WHERE WE ARE
ECPAT Indonesia is officially based in Jakarta, but works alongside with 24 committed network members in 12 provinces across Indonesia. We continuously enlarge our network through membership mechanism to strongly expand our works throughout the country.

ADVOCACY
Support and monitor the effectiveness of the implementation of legislation, policies and national plan of action related to CSEC
Encourage the amendment and/or harmonization the national legislation which is not reflecting the best interest of children and is weakening the protection of children from CSEC
Encourage the harmonization of policies and national laws with the international protocols and/or instruments related to CSEC
Support every effort to the establishment of legal framework and law enforcement related to CSEC
PREVENTION
Enhance the promotion of CSEC issues continuously to all relevant parties
Strengthen information and public awareness to create behavioral change
Enhance participation of children/young people meaningfully in combating CSEC
Enhance activities in order to advocate and educate public at large related to CSEC issues (campaign, national/regional events on CSEC)
PROTECTION
Encourage the creation of child safe organization especially on the issues of CSEC
Enhance direct services programs for victims/survivors of CSEC
Enhance mechanism, monitoring, investigation and reporting of CSEC issues.

Develop training programs to strengthen the capacity and understanding on CSEC issues for members
Support members to be involved in national and/or regional events held by ECPAT Indonesia and/or other network

To strengthen the provision of legal aid, rehabilition and psychosocial services for sexually exploited children
To advocate for policy making and harmonize national laws related to sexual exploitation of children with the convention on the right child
To raise public awareness of the elimination of demands for sexual exploitation of children
To encorage the development of a mechanism that is integrated with human right to improve the implementation of the Optional Protocol to the CRS on the sale of children, child prostitution, and child porbgraphy
