I feel that my Military backgroungd, education, and hands on experience has provided me with the essential skills to be efficient in a busy medical facility. I served in the Military for eight year as a hospital corpsman (HM2 E-5) stationed in Cuba, Harry S. Truman CVN 75 and Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command. During my ten year in the Navy I have experience in interactions with Cuban and Iranian foreign nationals, managing a multi-million dollar budget for ordering medical supplies, equipment and immunizations and assisting in pre-deployment mission planning for mission in Southeast Asia and Europe. During my tour on CVN 75 and the joint POW/MIA accounting command I was in charge of occupation health. which entails ordering and reviewing health records, lab results, ordering labs, verifying immunizations for military and DOD civilian personnel and documenting results in their proper service data base i.e. medpros, mrrs, sims, alta. During my tour in Hawaii I ran the number one occupation graded by MILVAX. Milvax used my clinic as reference for other clinics to follow. I have experience in office management as well as office administration and critical thinking. to include update and enforcing new policies. Recently, I graduated from Eastwick College with my AAS, Associate in Applied Science Degree majoring in Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonography and Medical Assisting. My education included 1000 Hours externship at Catskill Regional Medical Center. Upon program completion I became eligible to sit for several credentialing exams which I will take this year: ARDMS-RDCS-AE exam eligable ARDMS-RVT exam eligable AMT-RMA, Registered Medical Assistant NHA-CPT, Certified Phlebotomy Technician NHA-CET, Certified EKG Technician Highlights of my experience during my clinical rotation at Catskill Regional Medical Center include: Performing an estimated Adult Transthoracic 2-D Echocardiograms with M-Mode, Color flow, and Doppler measurements.
