National Sales Manager Core Roles & Accountabilities
Assists sales staff in setting annual premium targets.
Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing market strategies and analysing trends and results.
Monitors sales figures on an ongoing basis and implements action where required.
Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas and projecting expected sales volume and profit.
Assists setting marketing budget and controls marketing spend in accordance with the budget.
Properly coordinates company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
Liaises with Claims Department with regards to multi claimants and poor performance of brokers and with Head Office with regards to all aspect of the sales team.
Manages budgets and expenditure and formulates all sales policies, practices and procedures.
Prepares weekly and monthly production reports for MANCOM.
Interprets short and long-term effects of sales strategies on operating profit.
Maintains existing broker and client relations and calls on brokers as per schedule. Furthermore nurtures relations with all company associates.
Performs market and channel segmentation and develops the overall marketing approach.
Ensures that quarterly audits are performed on delegated authority accounts in terms of the underwriting manual.
Staff Management
Manages sales and MVI staff at the KZN and CT branches.
Mentors sale team, ensuring that each individual is equipped to deal with his or her individual job functions and that the team is able to work together holistically.
Liaises with staff on a daily basis to discuss pertinent and current issues.
Holds weekly staff meetings and continually keeps staff informed of targets and objectives.
Oversees all compliancy aspects of the Team – including FAIS, Financial and Operational compliance.
Production
Ensures that all work is processed within the agreed SLAs.
Creates and updates workflows pertaining to all processes under control.
Assists Underwriting Manager and takes appropriate action to rectify negative loss ratios per policy or broker.
Liaises with sales staff in relation with all broker issues – including poor loss ratios, unacceptable risks or documentation and broker visits.
Processes all new broker applications in accordance with workflow.
Ensures that monthly sales audits are completed.
Establishes and maintains a sale strategy for the company in conjunction with MANCOM.
