This Professional Certi�cate in Sustainable Community Development program is designed for people who currently work in community development as well as those who plan to work or volunteer in this �eld.

Participants will be equipped with practical tools to meet today’s challenges as project managers and community development of�cers. They will be exposed to knowledge and skills in sustainable community development through new thinking, strategy and applied solutions.

To earn the certi�cate, participants must complete the required modules. They will be expected to also complete a Community Development Project (CDP) that will demand initiative, originality and leadership. This project must include some of the theories and models taught in the various modules.

Participants will have an opportunity to undertake a project in groups that will be supervised by our faculty. This is an opportunity for participants to go deeper into areas of the programme that they find particularly interesting or beneficial to their community initiatives or organisations, by applying what they have learned to a real world process improvement project or identify and solve a real world challenge in their community development plan.
