  • Depar tment of Biotechnology organized farewell

    program to Miss Amina Baniya on 9 July 2018. She

    worked as Research Assistant in the Department for

    one year. She was a student of B. Tech Biotechnology

    of 2012-2015 batch in AITM. Miss Amina had

    scored highest CGPA 3.91, which was the highest

    score among the students of her batch. She has full

    scholarship to pursue Masters Degree in

    Microbiology at South Dakota State University, USA.

    Prof. Dr. Sriram Bhagut Mathe, Chairperson, AITM felicitated the winner students of DNA Model competition

    organized on World DNA Day by Biotechnilogy Society of Nepal (BSN) on 25 April 2018 at National

    Academy of Science & Technology, Khumaltar, Lalitpur. The felicitation program was organized by AITM on

    29th April 2018 in presence of Prof. Dr. Sriram Bhagut Mathe, Chairperson, AITM, Mr. Basanta Prasad

    Joshi, Executive Director, AITM, MR. Hari Krishna Saiju, Head, Department of Biotechnology, Dr. Rabindra

    Raj Giri, Head, Department of Civil Engineering and other faculty members. Chairperson, Prof. Dr. Sriram

    Bhagut Mathe highlighted on the importance of students’ participation in the program. He added that

    generating the different idea than others is more important than winning the competition. Mr. Binod Mishra,

    Lecturer, Biotechnology Department gave brief notes on DNA structure and its importance in the living

    organisms.

    The participants in the competition were 5th semester Biotechnology students, Mr. Sujan Rasaili, Mr.

    Sandeep Pun, Mr. Min Bahadur Thapa, Mr. Prabin Baral and Mr, Sandeep B.K. Department of

    Biotechnology also congratulates the winner students.

    Professor Balaji Koka,

    Ph.D. is Associate Professor

    of Strategic Management for

    the Jones Graduate School

    of Business at Rice

    University. He joined Rice

    Business in 2008 from the

    W.P. Carey School of

    Business at Arizona State

    University. He teaches in the

    Executive MBA and Full-

    Time MBA programs and

    received the Teaching

    Excellence Award from the

    EMBA program in 2014.

    Professor Koka received his

    BE from Madurai Kamaraj

    University in India, his MBA

    from Indian Institute of

    Management in India and his

    PhD in strategic

    management from the

    University of Pittsburgh.

    The Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP) duration will be 5 days residential with limited preparation prior to the session with Rice faculty. Total charge of Rs.400,000 covers all costs associated with the Program including tuition, boarding and food at the venue, staionary and certificate. This represents a small fraction of the cost of a similar program delivered at Rice Univerity at the cost of over $22,000.
