TroubleshootingProcess of elimination

Insert rechargable battery door with fresh rechargable battery. If there is no sound coming out of the HI, replace the rechargable battery and if that doesn’t work replace the rechargable battery door with regular battery door and zinc battery. If there is still no sound replace the HI. If there is sound after rechargable battery door is replaced with regular battery door and zinc battery, replace the rechargable battery or replace the rechargable battery door.

Using pin tool, push slider to disengage xReceiver.

With slider in the disengaged position, push the xReceiver

connector into the socket until fully seated.

Pull xReceiver out from hearing instrument shell.

Engage slider using butt end of pin tool.

(Take care not to scratch shell)

Using pin tool, remove battery door hinge pin.

Separate the top shell and SEM assembly from bottom

shell near battery compartment

A) Squeeze the top shell over battery opening to disengage

bottom shell. B) Pull bottom shell away with finger nail.

Open battery door partially, then lift battery door from

instrument.

Lift top shell and SEM away from bottom shell.

Lift SEM from top shell.

Insert one end of slider into notch on top shell. Then snap other end into place using tweezers.

Then remove slider from opposite side.

Fully seat SEM into top shell.Place SEM into top shell, battery

compartment end first.

codification marker you wish to install and align

with socket.

Remove the codification insertion tool. Lift up on handle and break away from codification

marker.

Press the codification marker into the socket.
