If checked, a special algorithm is used that produces highlyaccurate halftones, but is computationally expensive.

    SupercellHalftoning

If checked, supercell halftoning will be used.

Supercell halftoning produces halftones that have four times theshades of gray at the same resolution compared to standardalgorithms. This creates smoother images when printing angledscreens. However, the amount of processing needed to generatehalftones is increased.

5 Nesting JobsThe software has the ability to nest jobs together in order to minimize theamount of material needed to output the jobs. Nesting reorganizes the jobs

on the output media so that they line up across the media width and arepacked into as compact an area as possible.

Jobs must be in the same queue in order to be nested together, and mustshare the same output device and resolution.

Nesting Jobs Manually1 Select the jobs.

2 From the File menu, select Nest Jobs.

If a single job is selected, its pages will be nested.

    Un-Nesting Jobs

1 Select the set of nested jobs.2 From the File menu, select Unnest Jobs.

Using Automatic NestingThe software can be set to automatically nest jobs as they are added to theHold Queue.

To set up automatic nesting, from the Setup menu select Setup Properties

    and select theAutomatic Nesting

    tab.

    Automatic jobnesting

Automatically nests jobs using one or more of the criteriaspecified below. This allows you to work more efficiently bygrouping their jobs for output. You can add several jobsinto the queue and nest them into one job.

    Number ofjobs

Select this option to automatically nestjobs once the specified number of jobs hasaccumulated in the queue.

Set Number of jobs to 1 to automatically nestpages, tiles and separations.

    Number ofminutes

    Percentcoverage

Select this option to automatically nestjobs once the specified percentage of themedia has been covered.

Daily at Select this option to automatically nestjobs once a day at the specified time.

    Automatic rotateimage whennesting
