Concept The ideas that were first brought forward for our fashion film ‘Yeezy

season 2’ Our creative starting point was looking at designer Kanye West collection with Yeezy brand, saw inspirations from the recent collection which was Yeezy season 2.

The positioning of the models within the recent show, which we felt referenced military postures, styling captured our attention and allowed us build our thought process of our film. After sufficient research on the designer inspirations and brand aesthetic.

Our finalised concept was to create a narrative that is based on experimental, as our main character a young black female who works in military as army officer and she has hidden talent which is dancing. However within the course of the film she has mixed emotions as she's coming to terms with no longer hiding her talent, she starts feel free within herself again as she starts to express herself rapidly different levels of dance. At the end of the narrative she becomes empowered and feels more like a woman.

TreatmentOur fashion film is based on the fashion designer Kanye west and his

collection “Yeezy season 2”. The narrative of our fashion film is about a black female aged 22 who is

middle class, and educated. Her current occupation is working as a Military officer; Her Occupation is down to circumstance not by choice. She is told that

she must become an important figure and make a difference in her generation. She feels unappreciated and invisible in her role as military officer.

Dance in this generation is seen to be a hobby more than a respected occupation. Being a female within army based role isn’t her true identity or desire. She has a passion for Dance, where she feels free to express her

feelings and insecurities. Through her dance she shows a sense of freedom and female strength and empowerment, through her movement and body

language. The main theme that will be portrayed is movement and experimental within the style of dance and the use of clothing. As she dances

she starts to un layer herself which represents her revealing her true self, insecurities exposed. This is how the use of clothing is represented. Our film

is set within the present period of today as this issue can be relatable or current issue that females within masculine jobs may feel. Our character will narrate the story by beginning with a speech and ending the film with another speech which will summaries that she is finally free. Throughout the fashion

film there will be one character where we will focus on her thoughts and feeling. Having one character for this role is perfect because we can

showcase the character thoughts and feelings throughout the concept of the film.

Our character begins to show us this hidden talent that she has which is unknown to everyone Though her movement and dance .she leads the

audience into an emotional journey throughout the film she does this through the expression of contemporary dancing. Throughout the film movement will be captured as she begins her routine. We will capture different movements she makes; as she plays out her routine. Her face will not be revealed till the end of the face film. Which will create Mystery. We want to keep the audience engaged to find out what she may look like in the end when she is revealed.
