In the next few slides are some of the tools and tips I discovered while completing my projects that were time saving and powerful.

Creating Ribs and Webs Create an active

sketch in the location you will place the rib or web

Sketch an open profile that defines the basic shape or one edge of the rib or web.

Add constraints and dimensions to the sketch as needed

Click the rib tool located on the Part Features Panel Bar

Ribs and Webs Continued Specify the direction of the rib or web.

Click the direction button in the Rib Dialog box. Position the cursor around the open profile to specify whether the rip or web will extend parallel or perpendicular.

Enter the value for the rib or web in the Thickness edit box

Use the Flip buttons to choose which side of the profile to apply the thickness value

Ribs and Webs continued Specify the depth of the profile by clicking

either the To Next or Finite buttons in the Extents area of the Rib Dialog box.

If you use the Finite option, enter an offset distance and click Extend Profile if the endpoints are to be extended to the next available face.

To complete the operation, click the OK button.

Create the 2nd and 3rd tip and tech notes.

Key points No more than 5 points on any slide Continue to next slide for additional

points. Last slide should have key points of

the class. What was your favorite project and why.
