PRODUCTION CHANGES Subculture Music Magazine Darcie Naylor.

Cover page corrections

I centred the masthead “Subculture” as it was considered more conventional

•I enlarged the Boom Town logo as it was unclear and hard to see

•To ensure that each cover line was clearly separate, I adjusted the positioning and colours.

•I changed the Main cover line from “upcoming artist” too “most anticipated” as the wording was most sophisticated and professional

•I added a price above the bar code . I made my artists name “FLO” a prominent feature on

the magazine cover so that it was clear what the main article was about

Contents page I Removed the date on my contents page as it is a

monthly addition rather than weekly. I put numbers on the images so that they

corresponded with the pages they were related too I made the numbers the same size throughout the list

rather than significantly larger or smaller. I added small descriptions to each page, to inform the

audience what each page would be about . I also removed some pages from my contents list as they were inferior to others and were therefore taking up too much room and making the list too long.

I Changed the colour of the page names too a dark purple so that they would stand out.

I changed the currency of my subscription to pounds.

Double page spread

I made some slightly chances to the over all look of the mast head. I added drop shadows so that it would stand out more on the page and made the over all font bigger in size.

I moved the positioning of the strap line down slightly so that it was well aligned on the page

I added drop capitals to each paragraph I corrected any spaces in my columns so that the text was flowing consistently To be conventional, I made the introduction of my article slightly bigger in font

size and changed the colour too a fuschia pink I increased the spaced in-between the interview questions and answers as I

needed to fill up empty space towards the end of the article I Changed ‘Biggest Upcoming’ to ‘Most Anticipated’ so that it was content

throughout my magazine I edited my pull quote by adding blending options, such as a dark pink drop

shadow. I also used the same font as I used for my mast head so that it was consistent also.

I increased the size of my font on the pull quote so that it was more visible. I added a corresponding page number in the bottom left hand corner.
