raise revenue to keep the production and development

of the magazine going. In the beginning the money

derives from an initial investments into a magazine

is made up of magazine sales, subscription revenue and advertising revenue.

In turn the initial investment will be refunded, allowing the

company to make a profit. For many magazines,

advertising revenue is a large percentage of the total revenue of a magazine

sales of printed magazines. It also affects the way magazines distribute their content.

Online magazines decline the circulation of printed media, such as printed magazine. On the other hand online magazines can reaches a wider

audience and can have a significant online presence.

Online magazines can link with social networking sites like Facebook or twitter, increasing their exposure to audiences.

This allows online magazine companies to easily know what

interest their audience. This mean the articles the write will

be related to what the audience is interested in. Allowing the

magazine to gain more attention from the audience.

Additionally digital magazine distribution companies save money on distribution and circulation costs; that paper magazine spend.

There are some issues online magazines have to face. For example magazines needs to battle online industries

and other digital platform. Such as: The internet – websites and social media, eBooks and Apps.

By linking online magazines to social media, making them more interactive, people 9on social media) can easily put

forward their opinions which aren’t always good. Also dissatisfaction could cause audiences to stop subscribing

to magazines, decreasing the revenue of that magazine. Which in turn could decrease the popularity of magazines, causing in a decrease in sales and revenue: for the magazine.

Therefore, online magazines are more subjected to audience backlash and complaints; compared to printed magazines.

above the label ‘toilet’ magazine. The use of celebrity stories,

especially famous celebrities, allows magazines to attract the audience and stay above this

label. Another thing that will add to the

popularity of magazines are ‘exclusive’ stories. This compels

audiences to buy that magazine to know what the story is about.

For magazines aimed at lower earning audiences, gossip articles

will attract these audiences.

in the first few months, my magazine would have to rely on revenues from advertisements.

Audiences: I would Need to use

Distribution: Since my magazine is a

printed magazine, then I need to utilise distribution methods such as: the mail, through sales by newsstands; bookstores, in an efficient way.

This is to reduce costs and maximise revenue.

TECHNOLOGY?Since technology is a permanent part of peoples life today it allows my magazine to flourish and grow. In the long run I could expand my magazine to include an online version of

the paper back magazine. Creating a significant online presence. Although this could decries the

circulation of my printed magazine. I could us social media not only to advertise my magazine, but to keep in

touch with what events are attracting the attention of my audience. Allowing my magazine to always have content that attract reader’s

attention. Additionally social media can connect my magazine to my readers,

allowing them to identify with the magazine and increase my audience. Creating a loyal group of subscribers to my magazine.
