Production and IT monitoring

Your needs:

A piece of machinery breaks down or a plant failure occurs and the production stop results in enormous costs. The con-tinuous monitoring of your plant and IT equipment enables you to react quickly when a disturbance occurs. For example: Temperature sensors registering deviations of the standard temperature will take appropriate measures before further da-mage occurs.

Implementation of third party systems:

• Fire-/danger warning systems • Sensors • Facility automated systems • IT surveillance software • Mobile phone connection (GSM) • Landline • And many more …

• Continuous monitoring of plant and IT equipment • Automatic notification of the responsible service personnel • Rapid forwarding of disturbance reports to minimize fallout times • Building safety (access surveillance, motion detector) • Absence and roster management • Escalation management

Our solution:

Our Swissphone solution monitors your plant and IT equip-ment continuously. In case of a disturbance the responsible personnel will be alerted via unified messaging (for example SMS, paging or phone) by the system. The notified person confirms the assignment via their preferred method of com-munication. The alert will be escalated if no confirmation is received. A redundant alerting system ensures that even the surveillance server will be monitored.

Alerting via a local radio network or third party systems/gatewayA single transmission station can cover extensive work pre-mises. Several external transmitters can be added to cover complex buildings. The simultaneous broadcasting network resulting from this principle guarantees distortion-free re-ception. The simple connection between numerous alerting servers via LAN enables the usage of one paging system for several works premises.

Escalation managementManaging emergency situations effectively requires the defini-tion of rescue and escalation plans specifying the amount and order of alerted persons and/or resources. The information gathered from an employee inserting his pager into a multi charger when leaving the factory site will be transmitted to the system central. The system acknowledges his absence and will inform him via an alternative communication channel (for example SMS or e-mail) when he is needed. If he does not respond to the alert or if he is not available, the system will

tion to I.SEARCH RS422/LAN, status: ok) • Connection to assembly line via RS422/LAN

(alert: machinery failure) • Service engineer has been alerted

continue to escalate the search according to the predefined escalation plan.

Implementation and maintenanceThe alert server can be integrated easily into already existing infrastructures and with third party systems thanks to its se-veral interfaces. It can be controlled via a web interface to change configurations, maintenance purposes, etc.Despite this openness, a closed alerting circuit will be estab-lished with our alerting server guaranteeing safe and effective alerting and protection from unauthorized access.

Redundancy/clusterThe I.SEARCH base unit can be produced fully redundant to maximize availability: two I.SEARCH base units form one cluster. This means that diversions will be performed auto-matically in case of a disturbance. The clusters currentness of data has to be ensured in order to fail over functionality without any delay.
