Q2 PRODUCT UPDATE
“Amazon is awesome!” ~ Pedigree Technologies’ developers
The above quote was regularly heard around Pedigree Technologies
headquarters in the weeks leading up to the completion of one of
our biggest undertakings of the second quarter – we said goodbye
to physical servers and moved the OneView platform to Amazon's
Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.
While this might not sound like an overly exciting announcement,
we’re very proud of this achievement and it means a faster and
more reliable system for our customers. It also provides our
developers more time to focus on continuing to build the best
mobile resource management system for you.
Updates Include:

Pedigree Technologies OneView® Quarterly Update – 2015 Q2
Tag Assets to Include Detailed Info
You can now add tags as a way to include additional information on any asset. We’ve set up a few pre-built tags (Make, Model, Serial Number, and Year) for you to use right away. Additionally, Admin users can create new tags that are specific to your company.
We have big plans for tags (see ‘Driver ID’ example to the right). This is just the first step; so start adding tags to your assets now in order to take full advantage of all the additional tagging functionality that we’ll be adding in the future.
Driver ID – Coming Soon One of the first features that will be integrated using tags is Driver ID (ibutton). Driver ID is a small button that will allow drivers to identify who is driving a particular truck and have the recorded data tied to both the vehicle and the driver in OneView. Contact your relationship manager if you’re interested!
More New Icons We tripled our icon output from Q1 as we continually work to provide you with ways to more accurately track your assets. Each new icons is a new ‘actor class’ which allows you to analyze statistics based on that type of asset.

Federal HOS Passenger Rules Now Available In OneView! The POV Android app isn’t just for property-carrying drivers any more. Pedigree Technologies’ customers can now use OneView for passenger-carrying drivers as well. During Q2 we made our POV app compliant with Federal (and California) HOS Passenger Rules.

Pedigree Technologies OneView® Quarterly Update – 2015 Q2
How’s My Driving? Find Out By Using the Vehicle/Driver Scorecard Report We’ve added a brand new report that will allow you to quickly view and compare the performance of your drivers and/or vehicles. The scorecard calculates a letter/color grade based on the number of instances of acceleration, braking, and speeding* events.
*Speed violations are included for customers who have purchased the Posted Speed Limit add-on. For more information, contact your relationship manager.
Historical Location Search Tool We just featured this tool in our most recent announcement, but it’s worth sharing again. This new dashboard module is an easy way to find out if any of your assets were in a specific location at a specific time, without having to check location history one asset at a time. It’s useful if someone complains about the poor driving of one of your vehicles, but you don’t know if a vehicle was even in that location or which vehicle it was.

Offline Asset Report Gets More Visual and Improved Information The Offline Asset Report has been updated to include a pie chart for a quick glance at the overall status of your assets. We also added two pieces of data, Last Known Location and Probable Cause, which may aid in resolving offline issues.
POV Print Form and OneView Form Print Report Now, both the Print Form option in POV and the Form Print Report in OneView can be printed directly when viewing a specific job. In addition, both printing options now support the ability to have a header added to the form to display carrier information. To inquire about getting a header added to a form, contact your relationship manager.

Pedigree Technologies OneView® Quarterly Update – 2015 Q2
Added Flexibility to Jobs/Maintenance Notifications
Making Selections Now Simplified By Filters When choosing notification contacts, a job/maintenance template, or which events to display on the Event History timeline, making those selections just got a whole lot easier thanks to filterable lists. Now, instead of scrolling through the list or, in the case of the Event History timeline, looking through rows of checkboxes, you can simply type the name of the item you’d like to select and the list with be narrowed down to only the items matching your filter.
You now have more flexibility when setting
up notifications for Jobs and Maintenances.
You can choose to receive:
Estimated early notifications based on
usage patterns
Notifications at a specified interval prior
to the due criteria (maintenance only)
Notifications upon the actual due
requirement being met (Jobs = date,
Maintenance = date/odometer/runtime).
Note: To receive notifications via text message,
users must have their mobile # and carrier
information saved in ‘Settings.’

Asset Life Cycle Export Asset Lists to CSV Here we have two updates: Asset Life Cycle and Asset List Export (.csv). With these two updates, we’ve made keeping track of your installed assets easier. Now, each asset has a Life Cycle field available, to admin users, on the assets configuration page. When new devices are purchased they’ll be located under the ‘Pre-Installed Assets List’ tab until they’re installed and operational – at which point they’ll get moved into ‘Live.’ When an asset is no longer in use, it can be ‘Retired,’ keeping your asset list clean and organized. Along with the separation of assets into Live, Pre-Installed, and Retired, admin users have the ability to export any of those lists or user/driver lists as a CSV file which can be used to easily sort, count, and analyze your assets.
Admin users will be able to
search for ‘Retired’ assets to
view past data or for
inclusion in reports.
