Who are we? Tas Roads has been specifically set up to serve our great, local customers - Tasmanians.You might have previously known us as the TranEx Group, which in

some respects we still are. The TranEx Group is our head company,

with Tas Roads being the Tasmanian branch of TranEx.

Tasmania, supplying road products and services. From road

signage, guideposts and guardrail we supply and install

the lot!

GEO GRID TYPE DESCRIPTION ROLL SIZE APPLICATION

Secugrid Secugrid is manufactured from the extrusion, weaving or

welding or a polymer to form open aperture products of varying

strength, strain and load carrying capacity for applications of soil

reinforcement. In the application of base reinforcement there

is the design intention of improving the bearing capacity of an

existing subgrade by including a geogrid (or layers of geogrid)

over the in-situ subgrade to minimise the amount of granular

material needed in the base course (for pavement) design.

Our bollards are available in either surface mount or below ground models in 90mm or 140mm diameters. They are designed for lighter duty applications such as zoning off areas or pedestrian management.

The surface mount models come with fully welded base plates and fixings while the below ground models have welded starter bars for setting into concrete footings.

All models are hot dip galvanised after manufacturing. The standard powder coating colour is safety yellow but other colours are available on request.

Optional chain rings are available for connecting chains or ropes. Simply order with chain rings. Chain rings can also be purchased separately for retro fitting to existing bollards by drilling and tapping M10 threads as required.

Features• Cam-Lock removable bollards come in two styles.

Freestanding and roller door models for the protection of factory roller shutter doors.

Bass Highway Upgrade PRJOJECT PARTNER: SHAW CONTRACTING

The Australian and Tasmanian Governments jointly funded the upgrade of the Bass Hwy, west of Westbury between Birralee Main Road overpass and Exton.The section of highway is currently single lane and links

two divided dual carriageway sections between Hagley

and Westbury.

The works involve constructing a 3.2km dual carriageway

including the installation of median safety barriers and

upgrading the Highway to an AusRap 3 star safety standard.

TranEx partnered with Shaw Contracting to supply and

install the barriers on this project, which included, both

guardrail wbeam and wire rope safety barrier.

Total barrier works are approximately 8000m.

Tranex enjoyed partnering with Shaw Contracting, and look

forward to future works.
