TurbomachineryProduct range and centers of competence

MAN Diesel & Turbo leads the large diesel engine markets in marine and power

station applications and is one of the world leading Turbomachinery suppliers.

The company employs around 14,000 people spread around the globe in over 150

countries. The company head office is located in Augsburg, Germany.

MAN Diesel & Turbo is a corporate entity within the Power Engineering Business

Area of MAN SE, one of the 30 leading German companies quoted on the DAX Share

Index.

Divided into four Strategic Business Units – Engines &

Marine Systems, Power Plants, Turbomachinery and

After Sales care – we offer our customers a wide

range of products in the fields of energy and trans-

portation.

Today we proudly look back upon more than 250

years of industrial history. The roots of the company,

and indeed of the whole MAN Group, date back to

1758. In that year, the “St. Antony” Ironworks began

operations; a major factor in the development of the

coal and steel industries in the German industrial

revolution. Between 1893 and 1897, Rudolf Diesel

and a group of M.A.N. engineers developed the first

diesel engine in Augsburg and in 1904 the company

produced its first steam turbine in Oberhausen.

This innovative spirit continues today and dependably

characterizes the company: the technology leader

MAN Diesel & Turbo consistently pursues technologi-

cal developments in its market segments.

Products

The Strategic Business Unit Turbomachinery product

range (formerly MAN Turbo Group) consolidates a

broad range of gas compressors, expanders, gas and

steam turbines for most industrial applications. The

company provides users with a wide selection of

products and services; ranging from single casing

compressors to large, multi-casing trains, including

various types of turbine and electric drives. Full train

responsibility is a major corporate strength, together

with high product efficiency and reliability over the

complete life cycle.

Based upon the tradition, focussing on innovative re-

search and development, MAN Diesel & Turbo contin-

ues to fulfil our customer’s most demanding needs.

Following installation, our products are backed-up by

comprehensive and proactive local service support

throughout the world.

Engineering the Future – since 1758.
