1 What is the outdoor durability of SS21 Silver and ES3 Silver SS21:1 year S3:Six monthsHowever, if the outdoor durability of lamination is poor, the outdoor durability of SS21/ES3 becomes poor accordingly.

2 How is the media compatibility of SS21 silver? SS21 Silver has poor media compatibility on monomeric-calendered PVC. Monomeric plasticizer has a relatively low tolerance for solvent and heat, which leads to the fast absorption of ink. Since SS21's silver requires time for its color material to align flat, the media compatibility with fast ink absorbing monomeric-calendered PVC is poor.

3 Can SS21 Silver be used for heat transfer media? It is not recommended for its poor scratch resistance.

4 What is the shelf life of SS21 Silver? 1 year from its production.

5 Can roll media in which outer diameter is more than 250mm be used if its weight is less than 40kg?

No, it cannot. Because the media interferes the bar under the media.

6 Can the media width of transparent media be detected automatically?

Yes, it can. When using black media, there may be occasion that media width cannot be detected automatically because the color of heater is also black.

7 When is the ink circulation of SS21 silver performed? Once every 4 hours for 2 minutes.

8 Is crop mark is used for pull-back printing? No, its not. There is no setting to set crop mark on RL6. After printing silver plate, the media is automatically pulled back to the origin, then, color plate is printed.

9 Are the cutting accuracy and the throughput of CJV300 and CJV150 equivalent?

Yes, they are.

11 How to print Mimaki Metallic Color Collection? Three types of Metallic Color Collections are stored in a folder of RL6.Please open the file from the folder and print as usual.

12 When printing metallic color, different media profiles can be used for silver plate and color plate, if the resolution and pass count are the same. (This was not possible before.)Is this also the same when using white ink?

Yes, it is. When composing color plate and white plate, different media profiles can be used for each, so please select the same profile for both color plate and white plate.

13 From CJV300/150, media width is detected not by the position of the pinch rollers at the both sizes, but by the actual media width. Then, is it possible to cut media out of the pinch rollers at the both sizes?

Yes, it is.

14 The adjustment of CJV30's P&C positioning accuracy is difficult, while Roland has the simple adjustment method. How is the CJV300 and CJV150?

There is an special adjustment pattern which is similar to Roland's pattern to print through RL6.

15 Can the setting of P&C positioning accuracy be registered as "Favorite"?

No, it cannot.

16 Can the pinch roller which is positioned out of media be turned off automatically?

Yes, it can.

17 Should the Pen-line sponge be used when preforming halfcut?

Half cut can be performed by using Pen-line rubber. However, to prevent the blade from abrasion, the use of Pen-line sponge(Optional) is recommended.

18 Has the power source of the Drying fan unit to be separated from the printer's?

Yes, it has to be. Power supply of less than 1.4A is required. (No restriction on voltage)

19 Is the power source required for the Air exhaust unit separately from the printer or the Drying fan unit?

No, it doesn’t. Because, the Air exhaust unit draws power from the Drying fan.In order to use the Air exhaust unit, the Drying fan unit has to be installed at the same time.

20 What is the precaution when using external heater? Please use a Relay Box to make it work in conjunction with the printer's state.
