Cer+fied worldwide Armastek has been extensively tested according to the most important internaFonal codes and guidelines. The material has been cerFfied in several European countries and the Middle East.
Unique proper+es Armastek Bar is a ribbed reinforcing bar made of corrosion resistant glass fibre reinforced polymer (GFRP) that are bound by epoxy resin. The high quality components and the unique patented manufacturing process result in an outstanding material. Armastek Bar is : • highly durable • much stronger than AIII steel (up to 3 Fmes) • non corrosive & acid resistant • not magneFc & radio wave transparent • not electrically or thermally conducFve • easily machinable • significantly lighter than steel (up to 9 Fmes ) • easily transportable (as coils)
As it is corrosion resistant and resistant to acids and bases, Armastek Bar is ideal for the installaFon in aggressive environments, such as: • marine structures & quay walls • pre-‐cast & facade elements • parking garages (without coa+ng) • industrial floors(without coa+ng) • dry shrinkage reinforcement • swimming pools • waste water treatment plants • harbours • jersey barriers
GFRP Re-‐bars have been in wide scale use since the 1980’s and have a variety of design guidelines and standards throughout the world. These include: • ACI 440.5-‐08 & ACI 440.6-‐08 (USA) • AASHTO GFRP-‐1 (USA) • Various ASTM standards (USA) • CAN/CSA-‐S6-‐06 & CSA-‐S806-‐02 (Canada) • CNR-‐DT 205/2007 (Italy) • DIN 1045-‐1 (Germany) • JBDPA Design Manual (Japan) • Fib BulleFn No. 40 (Switzerland)
Because it is easily machined, Armastek Bar is ideally suited for components which need to be cut or drilled through: • sob-‐eyes in tunnelling projects • diaphragm walls • drilled pile walls • form-‐work anchors • temporary concrete buildings
