Popularly known as the “LivingMuseum”, the Village is a showcase of a kaleidoscope of Sarawak’scultures and traditions. On arrival, you will explore the 7 authentic replicasof ethnic houses. Chinese Farm House, Malay’s Stilted House, MelanauTall House, Penan Hut as well as Longhouse of the Iban, Bidayuh andOrang Ulu. Displayed in each house are the many artifacts made by theindividual dwellers. Demonstration of arts and crafts like beadwork, woodand bamboo carvings, “Pua” weaving and straw weaving can be seenwhile touring the Village. You will also be entertained with 45 minutes ofthe traditional dances of the various ethnic tribes of Sarawak at the Villagetheatre. Lunch is provided.After lunch, proceed for KUCHING CITY TOUR. Day 03Semenggoh Nature Reserve – Crocodile Farm – Shopping Tour –Sarawak River CruiseBreakfast at the hotel, morning proceed to visit SEMENGGOH NATURERESERVE, travelling overland (30 min) followed by a brief hike throughdipterocarp forest. Unlike in a Zoo, the Orang Utans are set free in a 653hectare forest reserve. Here, young Orang Utans, who were eitherorphaned or rescued from captivity, are trained to survive in the wild.Semenggoh is not set up as a tourist attraction but visitors are mostwelcome. Upon arrival at the Semenggoh, you will be able to catch aglimpse of the Orang Utans during their feeding time. Spot their delicatenest watch their skillful movements at the tree tops and also theirinteresting behaviour during feeding time. The guide will also narrate toyou the behaviour, emotion and characteristics of this special primatecalled Orang Utan, meaning ‘Man of the Forest’.Continue journey to visit CROCODILE FARM & MINI ZOO , the farm setamidst tropical fruit trees and lush-greenery is a home to over 1,000crocodiles. It serves as a perfect sanctuary to these fearsome reptileswhere they are kept in an enclosure designed and built similar to thenatural habitat of the reptiles. Day 04Fairy & Wind CaveBreakfast at the hotel, morning proceed to visit FAIRY & WIND CAVE.Fairy Cave and Wind Cave are about 50 min drives from Kuching City.The Fairy Cave is about 3-storey high. After a quick climb through thecave with torchlight, the cave opens up into a main chamber. Sunlightstreams into the chamber, enabling you to view the limestone formation ofseveral types. View the beautiful and some eerie shape of naturecreations, the stalactites and stalagmites. There is a formation that hasbeen likened to the Goddess of Mercy which at about 3 meters in heightresembles a woman dressed in classical Chinese robes, look downbenignly upon worshipers. Another formation looks like an old mancrouching down. Then proceed to the Wind Cave which only about 10 mindrive away. Walking along the platform, you will find that this dark-tunnellike cave is filled with bats and swiftest. Look around the wall of the cavewith torchlight and you might be lucky to spot the bird nest with some eggsin it. After tour,transfer back to the hotel for overnight.
