PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONThe 2SP0115T is a dual-channel driver withan electrical interface. The driver is basedon CONCEPT’s SCALE-2® chipset, a highly integrated technology for the reliable drivingand safe operation of IGBTs.
Perfectly matched driver versions are availa-ble for all 17mm dual IGBT modules. Theplug-and-play capability of the driver allowsimmediate operation after mounting. Theuser needs invest no effort in designing oradjusting it to a specific application.
2SP0115T is the ultimate low-cost ultra-compact driver platform for EconoDUALTM
IGBT modules. As a member of the CONCEPTplug-and-play driver family, it satisfies therequirements for optimized electrical perfor-mance and noise immunity.
The highly integrated SCALE-2® chipset reduces the component count by 80% com-pared to conventional solutions, thus signifi-cantly increasing reliability and reducingcosts.
Thanks to SCALE-2® technology, the2SP0115T family comprises complete andextremely compact two-channel IGBT driversequipped with DC/DC converters, short-
circuit protection, advanced active clamping and supply-voltage monitoring.
Perfectly matched driver versions are available for all 17mm dual IGBT modules.Users need only solder them onto the corresponding IGBT module. The plug-and-play capability of the driver allows immediate operation with no further development ormatching effort. Shortest design cycles areachieved without compromising overall system efficiency in any way.
The embedded paralleling capability allowseasy inverter design covering higher powerratings. Specifically adapted drivers are available for all module types. The DIC20electrical interface is very simple and easyto use.

Driving Parallel-Connected IGBTsThe driver allows direct parallel connection ofany number of 17mm modules with individualdrivers. This new pioneering concept for simpleand reliable parallel connection makes it practicalfor the first time to set up converter series withdiscrete modules as well as parallel-connectedIGBTs without any additional development effort.
Electrical Interface DIC20The 2SP0115T driver series is equipped withDIC20 electrical interface, fully compatible to PrimePACKTM driver series 2SP0320T. The DIC20electrical interface is very simple and easy touse.The driver has the following terminals:- Power supply and GND terminals- 2x drive signal inputs- 2x status outputs (failure returns)- 1x mode selection (half-bridge mode/direct mode)- 1x input to set the blocking timeAll inputs are ESD-protected and all digital inputshave Schmitt-trigger characteristics.

The driver contains all necessary components for op-timal and safe driving of the relevant IGBT module:smallest gate resistors in order to minimize switchinglosses, gate clamping, active-clamping diodes (over-voltage protection at turn-off), Vce monitoring (short-circuit protection) as well as the input electricalconnector X1. Moreover, it includes components forsetting the turn-off trip level, the response time andthe dead time between both channels in half-bridgemode. Its plug-and-play capability means that it isready to operate immediately after mounting. Theuser needs to invest no effort in designing or adjustingthe driver to a specific application.
