A 4th-year student at The Bachelor of Arts (Education) in Foreign Languages, English-French is expected to understand and produce oral and written academic texts. Therefore, this course aims to give the students the opportunity to raise their overall English proficiency; to communicate in written and oral form with fluency; and to understand with ease a variety of audios and written texts. Class activities and assignments will help course takers to accomplish a C1 level of competence. At the end of the course, you are expected to comfortably use your academic reading, writing, listening and discussing competences.

Taking into account that this course aims at giving the students the opportunity to raise their overall English proficiency, to communicate in written and oral form with fluency, and to understand with ease a variety of audios and written texts, class activities and assignments will help course takers to accomplish a C1 level of competence. Activities are based on authentic materials and test preparation guides that will allow you to comfortably use your academic reading, writing, listening and discussing competences.

The grading for this course is based on the following activities: class activities, assignments, quizzes, projects and oral / written reports. Your participation in class will count towards your final grade. Being well prepared for class will greatly enhance your ability to participate. Grades are aligned with the Evaluation System of the University of Pamplona, and will be on the following dates: First Term Evaluation: September 22; Mid-Term Evaluation: October 27; Final Evaluation: December 2. Taking into account that this course will emphasize the mastery of EFL linguistic competence at a high level, I will deduct points for misspelled words and grammar errors. You are responsible for correcting errors based on the feedback I will provide you with.
