Procrastinaton!!By Rudi MackMedia Assistant First SemesterWhat is procrastinationIn laymen's terms procrastination is simply putting off something you have to do until the very last minute

There are 6 stages of procrastination

The 6 stages of procrastination

1. False securityUsually occurs right after the assignment has been assignedThe person seems to think they have a lot more time than they actually doSoon the assignment takes backseat

2. LazinessThinking you have ample time to waste will eventually leads to lazinessNot only is the person not doing their assignment because they think they have more time but now its a matter of simply not feeling like itSelf motivation is non existent

3. ExcusesIn this stage one would find random excuses as to why they cant do the assignmentExcuses like Im on facebook right now or This text has to be sent todayThe procrastinator has a sense of urgency on everything else but the assignment due

4. DenialThe procrastinator sees the due date closing in but still convinces themselves they have timeThey continue to put the assignment off

5.CrisisUsually occurs the night before or the day that the assignment is dueAs the procrastinator begins to work on the assignment they realize the amount of work involved and begin to think they will not finishUltimately the procrastinator finishes all or most of the assignment but the quality of work is lacking

6. repeatMost procrastinators are habitual procrastinatorsThey will continue to go through the same cycle and may never learn their lesson.
