Page 1: Process Paper Narrative

Since there is no “right way” to write a process paper, I am going to do it as a detailed bulleted list:

When I Received The Assignment:o I immediately was so panicked; this is my very first college

assignment. I was going to fail. There was no other option. I started to think of potential stories to write about.

When We Did The Free Write:o At first I was writing absolute nonsense, but then I remembered

something, or rather someone. John. My big brother. Well, I explained a bit in my narrative, but there were a million different scenarios going through my head that involved John. Then, I remembered the story I wrote about…I thought it had a little to do with rhetoric.

I Started Writing The Paper:o When I started writing my essay, I stared at a blank Word Document

for about ten minutes. Once I figured out that I wanted to start with a flash back I let my creative juices flow.

In Class Peer Review:o I normally don’t find peer reviews helpful, but I found this one

extremely helpful. Tons of advice on how to make it “pretty”. Second Draft:

o This draft I tried to get rid of all of the unnecessary details that I didn’t need in order to enhance my story. I was still worried about all the dialogue I had and I wanted some advice about the ending/message of my story.

Meeting With Dr. McLaughlin:o This meeting was extremely helpful! You gave me great ideas on what

to do with the ending. But, the most helpful thing was you reassured me that I had a good story and I wasn’t going to fail.

Final Draft:o During this stage I changed everything Dr. McLaughlin told me to.

Then I had my tutor look over it for grammatical errors. Once this was done it was time to record it!

Recording:o I started to recorded my narrative in GargaeBand, but this ways way

more difficult so I downloading Audacity. The actual recording process went better than I expected! I only recorded it three times in whole. I was surprised how easy this was.

Downloading MP3:o This was way more difficlut than it needed to be for the simple fact

that Macs don’t play nice with anything other than Macs…but it worked!

Hope you like it!
