Camerons new throat mounted inlet guide vane, designed for process gas applications, provides precise compressor inlet stream control and energy savings. Unlike the traditionally used Butterfly value, the variable inlet guide vane pre-rotates air entering the compressor, reducing energy consumption when operating at turndown points.

Cameron can retrofit your existing centrifugal compressor with an inlet guide vane assembly and actuator to operate with your current control system. Additionally, a new throat mounted guide vane and inlet assembly can be designed to match up with an existing compressor installation.

The new throat mounted guide vane assembly can be used for applications with high inlet stage pressures. Previous high pressure designs were limited to less efficient inlet butterfly control.
