Teen Smoking Lately teen smoking has been a problem. Teens are smoking in the park, under the bridge, and in town. All of these are places away from adult supervision. They are smoking because they think it is cool and because they are being pressured into it. We are concerned about teens smoking because it can lead to diseases and health risks. One solution to stop teens from smoking would be to educate teens and parents. We could set up a K-12 program about smoking. Kids would realize what would happen to them if they started smoking. They would not want to have these health conditions or health risks. The more education kids and teens have the less chance they would actually have to smoke. Something else we could do to stop teen smoking would be to get guest speakers to talk to teens about smoking. More teens will realize that they are about the only ones smoking. Teens are likely to listen to what others think about smoking. Another thing we could do to stop teen smoking would be to advertise not to smoke. Teens will realize that others are wrong about smoking being good. The advertising will also get kids attention. Although there are a lot of things to try to stop teen smoking any education will help teens decide not to smoke. Another solution would be to improve media. Something we could do to improve media would be to stop magazine ads. Teens will read the magazines and discover what they are doing is not in the magazine anymore. They will think that smoking is not popular and will quit. We could get rid of clothing that advertise smoking. Teens will see that the clothing is no longer in stores so they can not but them. Since nobody can buy them others will think that their clothing advertising smoking is not cool. We could also ban smoking on TV and movies. Teens will watch TV and realize what they are doing is not on TV. Also, teens will stop trying to look like actors and actresses. I think improving media is a good solution because teens just want to improve their public image.

Teen Smoking

Lately teen smoking has been a problem.

There are many solutions to this problem but I think the best solution is to improve media. Stopping magazine ads will work because they will see no one smoking. Seeing nobody smoking will make them wonder why they are smoking. Teens will spread the news to their friends who also smoke. Getting rid of clothing advertising smoking will work because nobody will be able to buy them. If nobody is wearing them other teens will not wear their old clothing advertising smoking. Teens will realize that their clothes are not in style and will stop wearing them. Banning smoking on TV and movies will work because no one famous will be smoking. Teens will realize actors and actresses are not smoking. They will want to follow what the actors and actresses think and do. Improving the media by these ideas will help stop teens from smoking.

As you can tell teen smoking has become a problem. Most teens do it just to be cool. Others do it because of peer pressure. There are many solutions and I think we should try some of them.
