Please Note RS Duncan do not store payment or credit card details. Blackstone Clydesdale Only: Weight; Accomplished rider up to 18 stone: Novice rider up to 15 stone. DIG-a-Day Only: For the full experience minimum Height Restriction 5ft, below 5ft don’t fret you can still participate in the experience but you will not be able to interact with all plant types. No Experience Required. No Driving License Required.

Spectating Guests; One spectating guest permitted with the voucher/time holder or participant free of charge, visitors are welcome to hang at the farm until the experience has finished, however there is not a lot to do on the working farm unless they are involved in one of our experiences, spectating visitors have limited access unless accompanied by a staff member. We have an outdoor covered seated area or indoor reception area where visitors can wait if the weather doesn't play nice or we can direct them to our local Town, village or Estate to take in the sights cafe/restaurant or pub. Please add any guests to your participant information form; phone or email to make us aware that guest will be accompanying you. Guests are not allowed to walk around the farm unescorted; No children allowed as guests of participants.

Food: No food facility on site. Drinks: Participant complementary Tea, Coffee, Water and still juice refreshments available throughout your visit to the farm. Hands to be thoroughly washed and sanatised before eating and drinking. No food to be consumed while working or around animals

What To Bring: Comfortable hardwearing outdoor clothing: suitable for the time of year. Waterproofs if necessary Footwear: Wear sensible sturdy fully enclosed boots with a small heal. You must be comfortable. We don’t want to disappoint you on your experience so please wear suitable footwear, as we do not stock footwear at the farm. If you do not have suitable footwear you cannot participate in riding. Riding Hat if riding: (to current safety standards). If you forget your hat we have a range of sizes available. Unfortunately if the had doesn’t fit you cannot ride. You will not be allowed to participate in the activities without appropriate footwear and clothing. Above all don’t forget to bring your sense of humor

Care of Equipment and Animals: We ask that you treat our equipment and animals with respect and love. Treat our equipment and tack as if it were your own. Report anything you are not happy about. Respect us as instructors/leaders yet feel free to question anything you are unsure about... we always have a reason! Tell us if there is anything we can improve upon.

Weather Restrictions: The activities will only be cancelled due to extreme weather conditions or to run the activities safely, in which case you will be notified in advance. Likely weather to stop the activities are snow, ice and gale force wind. If this is forecast, please contact us as late as possible before setting off to check that the activities will be able to run.

Participants Responsibilities; You are responsible for filling out the participant form as accurately and as truthfully as possible and under no circumstances to exaggerate ability or fitness levels. We reserve the right to weigh all participating riding guests (always confidentially) The participant understands that participating or coming near digging equipment or animals can suffer bodily or other injuries. [Animals are unpredictable by nature, when frightened by real or perceived danger or when under stress, they can jump forward or sideways, run, buck, bite, kick or rear without warning.] Risk of injury is inherent in this activity. The participant agrees to assume the risk of injury or death caused by interacting with animals or digging equipment and any other consequential losses resulting from such an incident.

Insurance: The participant is responsible for taking out all the necessary personal sports insurance; Personal sports insurance gives you cover in the unfortunate event of any mishap. Participants interact with excavators and all animals at their own risk. Participants ride at their own risk

Choice of Animals or Equipment: RS Duncan determine who is interacting with what animals or digger equipment by the information you supply to us, we may be able to leave you with the same horse or equipment for the duration of the activity and we may not. Again other folk may wish to try a variety of mounts or equipment, we will endeavor to give you the horse or equipment you want but it is at our judgment and discretion.

Important! Please understand: If we discover that your ability has been greatly exaggerated and we feel you could be putting yourself at risk or the rest of the activity at risk, due to your lack of control, after due consideration and discussion we may feel it necessary to remove you from the activity. If this is the case we will not refund any monies. We have never had to do this and hope it never happens!!

Safety: We have to take great care we ask that you wear the supplied safety hat and high visibility clothing. Please be considerate to all other participants

Things you should tell us about: Medication, medical conditions and medical allergies, all of this is on the participant information form, please be honest! Also once on the experience if the weather should change and you are getting very cold/wet/both please tell us, we have emergency clothing and procedures to ensure the situation does not deteriorate. If you take a tumble and it really hurts then again, please tell us don't be brave!

Children of the Farm: Due to several reasons, not least safety, insurance, and the fact that Blackstone Farm is A WORKING FARM, we have found it necessary to introduce the following rules regarding the presence of children on the Farm.

Children can participate as long as your child can sit unaided and the safety hat fits. Children under the age of 9 years are NOT ACCEPTED on a Loan experience without the presence of a responsible adult. Equally we will not take any participant under 16 years of age unless accompanied or has permission by a responsible adult, parent or guardian.

All Children MUST be signed in and out of the farm by a parent or guardian, and are ONLY accepted on the Farm, when they are fully aware of the dangers of being in close proximity to excavators or animals and the parent or guardian has read and signed the T&C's and wavier.

Children are NOT permitted to bring friends with them as visitors/spectators

The above rules apply to ALL youngsters on the Farm. Parents will be contacted to come and remove immediately any children found to be on the Farm contrary to the above rules
