Coverage includes: Legal expense coverage for certain legal fees or defence expenses from civil proceedings resulting from a covered privacy breach. Remediation expense coverage for certain expenses that could include notifying your customers, post-breach fraud or credit monitoring, and, if necessary, securing forensic services. Business interruption coverage to cover certain loss of income resulting from the breach, including necessary extra expenses. Third-party liability coverage: Offer your customers additional protection with optional third-party liability coverage, for legally obligated compensation to others and legal expenses resulting from a privacy breach. With our privacy breach coverage your customers will benefit from: Worldwide coverage Worldwide (some restrictions apply) for up to 60 days for business travel. Extortion protection Business interruption coverage for privacy breach losses due to cyber extortion. Computer forensic services are available to prevent or mitigate cyber extortion. Covered devices Computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones at the office, home office or in transit, with no cloud storage restriction. Covered expenses Notification and public relation costs required by a government entity, as well as credit card or fraud monitoring expenses for a full year. Business Interruption Coverage applies for 60 days with a waiting period of 24 hours. Customizable limits Customers can choose the limit of coverage that’s right for their business: Remediation expenses: $25,000 - $100,000 (in increments of $25,000)* Business interruption: $25,000 - $100,000 (in increments of $25,000)* Legal expense: $25,000 - $50,000 Optional third party liability: $50,000 - $100,000 (in increments of $25,000)* *Limits over $100,000 are available for these coverages.
