At Lakeland Correctional David said, "I'm not going to the concert" My grandmother died a year ago this week, and there was no way I wanted to go to a "Christian Concert" and sit there crying in front of the other prisoners. My grandmother had been after me for years to give my life to God and now here I am in

prison. I'm still not ready for this "Christian thing", and I'm NOT going to the concert!" Yet something kept telling me I must go. It was as if a hand had ahold of my ear and was pulling me, telling me, YOU GO! The force was so strong I finally said, "alright I'll go, but I need a clear sign that tells me it's time to give my life to God or else it's not happening". At the concert, I heard the song "Never Give Up On You" I knew my grandmother had never given up praying for me, then, Janae spoke these words. "Gentlemen, I come as the voice of that special woman in your life, maybe it's your GRANDMOTHER, your sister, wife or daughter, this is no accident that we met here today. This an anointed appointment set up by Almighty God to call you into his loving forgiving arms". When she said "Grandmother" I knew that was the sign I had asked for, God was calling my name. Yes, there were tears falling down my face but I eagerly came forward and gave my life to Jesus. My faithful grandmothers prayers were answered that day and now I live for Christ. To God be the Glory!

at the next prison concert!

TOP: 48 Volunteers came to a prison concert.

Everyday many men all across our great state sit behind steel doors feeling hopeless and empty. Some have lost families and friends, consequently they receive no visits. Most of these men never attended church as children, or had a father figure in the home to teach them responsibility or life skills.

With not much to look forward to, most are eager to have an opportunity to go to a concert performed by a world renowned artist.

Some just use the concert as an excuse to get out of their cells to visit with other prisoners.

While in Coldwater, MI at Lakeland Correctional Facility this past December, we were greatly blessed as 220 men came to the concert.

The Holy Spirit was with us as we witnessed 68 men pray to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. These men were incredibly grateful that we came to give them time and the message of God's love and forgivenesses .

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

• PRAY as we continue to go into as many prisons as possible.

• COME with us and encourage the Christian church in prison. You will be blessed beyond measure!

• GIVE so that we may continue to follow Christ, as He commanded "GO" in order that prisoners may have an opportunity to give their lives to Christ.
