Priorities of the Presidency in the matter of veterinary issues:

•Electronic identification and registration of bovine animals and deleting the provisions on voluntary beef labelling•Animal health requirements applicable to the non-commercial movement of pet animals•Recast of the zootechnical legislation



• Amendment of regulation (EC) No 1760/2000 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards electronic identification registration of bovine animals and deleting the provisions on voluntary beef labelling

• Objective: If possible reaching first reading agreement with the European Parliament


BOVINE EID


• Revision of Regulation (EC) No 998/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 May 2003 on the animal health requirements applicable to the non-commercial movement of pet animals
