Capturing Employee Punches
Registering Employee Fingerprints
PrintReader™ offers the ability to record employee punches in two ways, “verify” and “identify.” The default method of “identification” configures the system to recognize and record an employee’s punch through a simple fingerprint scan. Alternatively, the “verification” method requires the employee to swipe a card or provide a PIN in addition to a fingerprint scan. The employee’s print will then be compared with the PIN or badge card used to record the punch.
FlexClock Vx510 Shown
Registering employees on PrintReader™ can be completed within seconds. Your managers are first set up with their own clock-specific manager profile. Administrative features are then accessible via a simple print scan so that managers avoid revealing their administrative password at the clock. Once employee prints are registered on any single terminal, the record is accessible through all other time clocks, enabling the employee to clock in and out from any location.

“Best Fit for the Vx610G” - Practical Application
The Vx610G is an ideal fit for employers desiring a time clock that offers mobility for on site punch collection, including the ability to track employees without an available power source (battery operated) and without a stationary data connection, such as an Analog or Ethernet connection port.
Because the Vx610G can collect punches through a simple employee PIN and send data to the Web throughout the day via a cellular (GSM wireless) connection, it’s a low maintenance solution that gives supervisors the visibility needed to track their “on the job” workforce from the office, such as who has clocked in, who is absent, what jobs are covered, etc.
Generally stated, this solution is best suited for employers and industries, such as construction and entertainment, that do not typically offer the resources needed for a stationary time clock.

Product Overview
Feature Specifics
Punch Data Collection
Collecting employee punches with the Z11 can easily be done through the entry of an employee PIN code.
And if you’re looking to save on badge card costs or to simply add conveni-ence by consolidating badge cards, the Z11 permits employees to use a proximity badge for clocking in/out.
Note: For recording employee punches the Z11 supports the “Mango” proximity badge-type only. For universal badge recognition, please see the FlexClock Z18.
Features
The Z11 offers employers the tools required to better manage company departments and employees by the hour and throughout the work day.
With real-time online managerial editing and reporting, supervisors find the “visibility“ needed to effectively maintain a full work force. Other key features include:
· Proximity card integration†· Simple set up and wall mount· Large clock display for easy employee clocking in/out
Connectivity
The Z11 connects to the Web to send employee data for online supervisor editing exclusively through an Ethernet connec-tion, also commonly referred to as “digital,” Internet-based, or IP based. With this connectivity method, punches are continuously sent throughout the day as employees record punches (in 2-minute intervals) rather than once a day or the overnight method commonly used for a regular Analog or fax/phone connection.
“Background” Punch Transmission
To minimize the time spent by employees at the clock and to enable immediate* access to the data online “background” punch transmission allows employees to clock in/out as punches are simultaneously sent to the server.
“Mango” Badge-Type vs. “Wiegand” (Universal)
The Z11 utilizes a specific proximity badge card format referred to as “Mango,” typically indicated by the Mango logo displayed on the card face. By contrast, universal or generic-use proximity badges known as “Wiegand” integrate with a broad variety of proximity hardware models (see Z18), but are not supported by the Z11.

“Best Fit for the Z11” - Practical Application
The Z11 is an ideal fit employers desiring a time clock that collects employee punches using a Mango proximity badge card, as well as real-time data transfer to the Web (via Ethernet). Alternatively, because of its affordability, the Z11 can be a practical solution for employers simply collecting punches through a PIN code where an Ethernet-based time clock is required (for connectivity), regardless of whether a proximity badge is utilized.
Practical application of the Z11 would be to integrate the unit into environments where employees are currently using a “Mango” proximity badge to gain access to the building with the existing “Mango-based” proximity system. The same badge carried and used by employees for building access could then be “swiped” at the time clock to recordan in/out punch.
If the current and existing proximity system does not use a Mango badge type, the Z11 is not recommended for implementation. If, however, a proximity badge card is desired for employee punching but a system has NOT yet been selected for building access, a time clock offering universal proximity card integration (Z18) may be better suited in order to give the organization added flexibility in selecting a supplier.

Hand Geometry BiometicsThe HandPunch™ GT-400 from Schlage® is a sophisticated timekeeping solution that allows organizations to record and verify an employee’s punch by the size and shape of their hand in real-time. The employee’s hand becomes their badge.
The HandPunch GT-400 is robust, enabling employers to more effectively capture a biometric punch in diverse environments where employees may possess worn, dirty and damaged prints. This can all be done while preserving the employee’s privacy by not using finger or hand prints.
Product Overview
Ideal Application
Punch Data Collection
Collecting employee punches with the HandPunch GT-400 is both quick and reliable as employees are verified by the size and shape of their hand. Employee privacy is ensured as no finger print or hand prints are used to capture the punch.
Employee prints are verified by entering their PIN in addition to their hand scan. As such, the GT-400 eliminates the costly expense of both badge cards and “buddy punching,” which can occur with other time clock devices.
For easy hand alignment while clocking IN/OUT an LED light bar provides visual feedback to the employee during hand placement.
Features
The primary feature of the GT-400 is its sophisticated ability to capture employee punches using the size and shape of the employee’s hand as opposed to other biometric models that target an employee’s finger print for punching, often resulting in difficulties caused by worn, aged or dirty finger prints.
To reduce the potential spread of illness the GT-400 integrates the platen, keypad and chassis with an anti-microbial agent to reduce bacteria build-up by up to 99.9% over a 24-hour period.
Worried about needing to enroll employees on multiple devices? No need; employees can be registered on one device, then use any other for clocking in and out.
Connectivity
The HandPunch GT-400 connects to the web to send employee data for online editing exclusively through an Ethernet connection, also commonly referred to as a “digital,” ”Internet-based,” or “IP-based” connection. Whether your employees work remotely, are located temporarily off-site, or simply do not have access to a traditional time clock, VoiceClock enables employees to punch in and out remotely over the phone.
Product Overview
Feature Specifics
Clock In/Out—PIN
Using VoiceClock to collect employee punches is accomplished using an employee Personal Identification Number (PIN) over the phone.
Employees may also use other time clock devices (sold separately) such as a traditional time clock, allowing the workforce to punch in and out using a time clock that best suits the employee’s environment.
Have access to a web browser? Employees may be authorized to clock in and out online through a web browser using WebClock.™
Tracking and Reporting
VoiceClock can synch automatically with web-based timekeeping reports, making valuable punch data available immediately to supervisors over the web. Supervisors can then track employee punches, set employee schedules and adjust staffing needs throughout the work day.
Gain better visibility of your mobile workforce, and more importantly, manage labor costs more accurately.
Connectivity
VoiceClock can be configured with 3, 6 or 12 phone lines. This flexibility allows employers to select a unit for their specific usage level. From high volume users involving multiple employees that clock in simultaneously during peak traffic times to users collecting intermittent punch traffic throughout the day (3 lines), VoiceClock can be pre-set to accommodate your needs.
(An employee clock in/out call can take on average an estimated 10 to 18 seconds to complete.)
Call Filtering
VoiceClock offers the ability to identify and filter inbound call traffic, giving employers the option to recognize and pre-authorize employees for remote clock in/out.
Connectivity
The VoiceClock unit requires a constant connection via Analog phone lines to collect employee data (contact your local telecommunications provider for phone line activation). Punch data collected from employees is sent to the Web in real time through an Ethernet connection, allowing supervisors to immediately view employee punches and view staff coverage.

VoiceClock
Web-Based PunchingWebClock offers the ease of clocking in and out through a standard web browser. With no software to install and no hardware to maintain, tracking your employee’s punches in real-time has never been more simple.
WebClock also enables employees to check their time card and/or schedule over the web. Supervisors benefit from the convenience of online access for editing employee time cards from any web-enabled workstation.
Product Overview
Product Benefits
Employee Online Access
With WebClock, employees are able to clock in and out through a stand-ard web browser to record punch times from any authorized computer.
Employees may also record punches through mobile devices that offer a standard web browser.
Finally, WebClock provides employ-ees the ability to view their time card and/or a schedule, causing employ-ees to be more aware and accounta-ble for their labor hours.
User Experience
Web-based punching is remarkably simple. It takes only seconds to record a punch from the employee’s workstation. Employee punches are immediately sent to the web for re-al-time administration and reporting.
For convenience, employers can authorize one or many workstations to accommodate employee punch-ing through an IP Address. WebClock also allows employees to report “tips,” a “depart-ment,” and other related punch data gathered through employee clock prompts.
Security
WebClock offers a convenient but secure method for recording employee punches. Employers benefit from the ability to restrict employee punches to only authorized workstations through an IP Address filter.
WebClock also protects employees by clearing user credentials between punches.
Backups of employee time rosters occur on a regular schedule and are stored offsite at a secure location.
Reduce Costs, Add Convenience
Automated timekeeping allows employers to significantly reduce the cost of employee labor while streamlining the difficult task of preparing for payroll. Organizations can minimize both human error and the time required to calculate employee time cards.
No Hardware to Install
Although time clocks can provide important functions and conveniences to organizations who identify a specific need, WebClock offers a hardware-free experience, saving you from additional cost and time associated with installing a time clock.

“Best Fit for the WebClock” - Practical Application
WebClock is ideal for organizations desiring employees to clock in through a web-browser from their workstation or a designated computer within the building. A typical environment for WebClock is an office setting or workspace where employees have access to a computer with Internet access.
WebClock is also a cost-effective solution because hardware is not required. Implementation is very simple as supervisors need only an ID, password and Internet access to begin accessing employee punch cards (once employees are added to the account and begin punching).
