Welcome…. Printmaking Students!

Throughout this 1 semester course (.5 credit),we will engage in the study of the following concepts:• Relief Printmaking• Linoleum Block• Printing onto Clay• Collagraph• Reduction Print – Linoleum• Photo Intaglio - Solar Etching• Color Mixing/ Color Theory• Principles of Design• Symbolism/Metaphor• Art History/Contemporary Art Studies• Reflective Writing & Discussion• • Please be prepared to write about and discuss art concepts.

Relief printmaking

• Simply means creating a relief (a surface that is set out from the background, in order to print the raised surface) For example; woodcut, linoleum block and collagraph.
