Principles: Harmony – This house has no bold colors or contrast, so it blends together.
Repetition – The windows and porch gates repeat patterns.
Unity – The house is consistent throughout and while there are different materials, it works well
together.
Gradation – It is smaller on the left and gets bigger to the right.
Elements:
Direction – The house is very flat and horizontal, representing calmness.
Line – The columns and gates are vertical lines.
Texture – There are varying textures. There is smooth wood and bumpy rocks.
Color – The colors work together and they don’t clash.
Principles Balance – There is balance in the sense that even though there are many different directions the
structure goes into, it still comes together to make for a pure, calm piece.
Harmony – The whole piece stays up together and it has this creamy white color.
Contrast – The shape of this piece is unique in that most structures are not built with so many
rectangles.
Unity – The piece is smooth and appears unique but good.
Elements Line – There are many directions and shapes the structure goes into and it has a lot of right angles.
Shape – The overlapping rectangular prisms are a unique shape.
Texture – This piece is very smooth.
Value – The white color used in this structure is creamy and there is a use of shadows.
Principles Balance – There is balance in the arcs and they all connect and flow together.
Harmony – The smooth curves represent a waterfall or rainbow and look very calming.
Contrast – Despite not being very bold, there is a contrast in tone and color.
Repetition – There is repetition in the shapes of the arcs and windows.

Direction – The arcs and flow make this have an oblique direction.
