The Prophet (saw) appeared among people who were divided in their religion. Some of them worshipped Prophets and Pious

people Some worshipped trees and stones Others worshipped the sun and moon

Page 3: Principle 3 &4

The Messenger of Allah (saw) fought them all without making a distinction between one group and another

“And fight them until there is no more fitnah (kufr) and religion is professed for Allah” Anfal vs. 39

And the proof that worshipping the sun, moon, stars and planets is shirk:

مس و ار والش النه ياته الليل و من آمس وال دوا للش ج ر ال تس م الق و

“And among His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun and moon but prostrate yourself to Allah, Who created them if it is Him you truly worship” Fussilat vs. 37

Page 6: Principle 3 &4

And the proof about the angels is in the following verse:

ئكة ذوا المال كم أن تتخ ر موال يأ

ر كم بالكف ر ميأ باب<ا أ ر

“Nor would he order you to take angels and Prophets for lords (gods). Would He order you to disbelieve after you have become Muslim?” Aal Imran vs. 80

Page 8: Principle 3 &4

And the proof that worshipping and calling upon Prophets is shirk:

نت أ يم أ ر ى ابن م ال الله يا عيس ذ ق إ وين له مي إ

“(remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: 'Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?' " He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my inner self though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the All Knower of all that is hidden and unseen.” Al Ma’idah vs. 116

Page 10: Principle 3 &4

And the proof that worshipping Pious people i.e. Calling upon them for help, relief etc is shirk:

أولئك الذين يدعون يبتغون إلى ون ج ير ب و ر م أق يه يلة أ م الوس به رافون عذابه إن عذاب يخ ته و م ح ر

“Those whom they call upon desire (for themselves) means of access to their Lord (Allah), as to which of them should be the nearest and they hope for His Mercy and fear His Torment. Verily, the Torment of your Lord is something to be afraid of” Al Israa vs. 57

Page 12: Principle 3 &4

And the proof that seeking blessings through trees and other objects such as graves, sacrificing animals for fulfilling needs etc is shirk:

“Have you then considered Al-Lat, and Al-'Uzza (two idols of the pagan Arabs). And Manat (another idol of the pagan Arabs), the other third?” An Najm vs. 19,20

Page 14: Principle 3 &4

Uzza Laat Manat

3 of the main idols worshipped by the Mushrikeen of Makkah.

Page 15: Principle 3 &4

All forms of shirk were spoken against and fought against.

What difference is there between the one who worships Ganesh, Isa (as), a tree or Muhammed (saw)?

Page 16: Principle 3 &4

The Mushrikeen of today are worse than the Mushrikeen of the early stage of Islam. At the time of the Messenger (saw), the

mushrikeen used to associate partners with Allah in times of ease, but be sincere to Allah in times of difficulty

Page 17: Principle 3 &4

Whereas the mushrikeen of today, attribute partners to Allah in both times of ease and hardship.

“And when they board a ship, they call on Allah with sincere and exclusive

faith in Him, but when He brings them back safe to land, behold! They associate partners with Him.”

Ankaboot vs. 65

Page 18: Principle 3 &4

What is meant by the previous statement of the shaykh? What does he mean that mushrikeen of our time are worse? Example?

Page 19: Principle 3 &4

Today, pagans (mushrikeen) are more persistent in their seeking aid from dead people.

There is no power no might except with Allah!

“... Say: "Tell me then, the things that you invoke besides Allah, if Allah intended some harm for me, could they remove His harm, or if He (Allah) intended some mercy for me, could they withhold His Mercy?" Say : "Sufficient for me is Allah; in Him those who trust (i.e. believers) must put their trust.“ “ Az-Zumar vs. 38

And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them. And none can inform you (O Muhammad ) like Him Who is the All Knower (of each and everything). “ Fatir vs. 13, 14

And when mankind are gathered (on the Day of Resurrection), they (false deities) will become enemies for them and will deny their worshipping.” Al Ahqaf vs. 5,6
