Principal’s Message
As we are aware of the Novel
Coronavirus outbreak around the
world, we are all maintaining social
distances in the nationwide lockdown.
I am sure students, teachers and
staff must be safe and taking all possible care at home
in this period. Since the institute is closed and due to
the working of team INSIGHT from home, it became
possible to publish this issue of INSIGHT in-time. I
am indeed happy to put before you the tangible
outcome of the institute achieved during the first
quarter of the year 2020.
The first three months at GECV remained restless for
everyone at the institute. The Mega Placement Camp,
Tech-Fest, Smart Gujarat Hackathon, Sports Events,
Rhythm- an Annual Cultural Festival, Finishing Schools,
Industrial Visits, Students Chapters programs etc.
were accomplished with significant value addition
during this period. The efficient role and contribution
of teachers and students is worth appreciating. The
remarkable winning of students in sports deserves
special compliments.
It is worth mentioning here about the concerns and
influence of GECV faculties regarding academic
attainment during the lockdown period. Conscious
attempts to provide incessant education through
GECV's own web application, Live Streaming lectures
via YouTube, Google Classroom, Zoom platform etc.
have shown new horizon to both students and teachers
of the institute. I am sure, proactive efforts being
put-up by the faculties will be useful to the students.
During this critical period of the pandemic in the
nation, we, as responsible citizens, are expected to
contribute to the nation by taking care of ourselves
and others by following the guidelines issued by the
authorities. Keep yourself updated. Stay away from
rumours. “Precaution is the only way to defeat this
widespread disease”. Wishing you a Good Health.
