PRINCIPALLY SPEAKING
We are seeking parent input on homework and you can
add your voice to our discussions at school by accessing
our survey at https://goo.gl/dQsb4G.
You are encouraged to actively track your child’s
progress on PowerSchool where grades, attendance and
discipline data are kept for every student. To reduce
our carbon footprint, paper Progress Reports will not
be sent home. If you have difficulties accessing
PowerSchool, be sure to contact your child’s teacher so
that you can view your child’s information.
It was great to see all the families at our PATT Family
Social gathering Tuesday night; Ms. Martini and I
enjoyed reading stories to your children. We also hope
you enjoyed the opportunity to buy a new book or two
at the Book Fair this week, thanks to all our parent
volunteers who helped at the Fair!
Please remember that pets are not allowed on school
property. We appreciate your compliance with this.
I hope to see you at the Elmwood Park Fall Festival this
weekend!

WORDS OF WISDOM
Happy Friday, Panthers and Parents! The
theme for the month of September is
“Respecting Ourselves & Others” This week we
are focusing on honoring our elders and dealing
with anger. Respecting and honoring our elders
is important, because we can learn a lot from
someone who has lived a long life! Learning how
to deal with your anger properly will lead to a
more successful future. No one wants to be
around a person who is angry and doesn’t know
how to properly deal with it! Have a wonderful
weekend, and remember to come to school on
Monday prepared to Be Responsible, Be
Respectful, and Be ready for class!
With something to think about, this is Ms.
Martini. Make it a great weekend – or not. The
choice is yours!
BE RESPONSIBLE, BE RESPECTFUL, BE READY
