They are continually supportive and encouraging of one another, celebrating each other’s’ achievements and continually striving to do better. We should all be very proud of our children, as they are representative of the spirit and values displayed by the wider North Epping community. Looking forward to next year, we are very excited by what the future holds. We will start the year with 477 students in 19 classes across K-6. Epping North’s reputation for strong academic performance, community values and green space continues to grow, with significant interest in out zone enrolments for 2019. At this stage, we are not accepting out of zone enrolments as our school structure is stable and our enrolments are at a comfortable level for 2019. Next year, our school technology program will be boosted by the acquisition of 190 new mobile devices, ensuring we are one of very few public schools that offers a 1:1 ratio to our students. We will continue our involvement with Apple education throughout next year with a number of Teacher Professional Learning opportunities already planned. Our learning support programs remain central to our core business with Reading Recovery and Multilit supporting our students’ literacy development through an early intervention approach. Dear Parents and Community,

We have reached the end of another busy, yet incredibly rewarding year.

As the new principal of Epping North Public School, this year has brought me much personal satisfaction and great pride in the school we share together. In 2018,our students have done tremendously well, performing strongly in the academic arena, sport and the performing arts. However, the area in which they have truly excelled is far more difficult to measure, that of community participation and engagement.

Our students’ community spirit is second to none.

In 2019, our

numeracy support program will also continue, following on from its successful introduction this year.

School resumes for our students in Years 1-6 on Wednesday January 30 and Kindergarten students will commence on Monday February 4. We hope to be able to form classes for students in Years 1-6 on the first day back, however this is contingent on our anticipated enrolments all starting and all of our students returning to school. If you know your child in Years 1-6 will not be starting on Wednesday January 30, please inform us in writing now via email to [email protected]. We are required to contact the parents of each anticipated enrolment who fails to attend on day one and we must do this prior to forming classes. Obviously, if you are taking an extended overseas holiday and have not informed us of your travel plans, this can have a significant impact on the entire school community, as we have to hold off forming our 2019 classes until contact is established.

From all of us at Epping North Public School, have a safe and happy holiday with your families. We very much look forward to seeing you all again in 2019

Kind Regards, Anthony Moran Principal
