Welcome to another exciting week at Broken Hill Public School.

During the final week for Term 1 we have some more fantastic

things happening at our school.

Easter Hat Parade

We are once again looking forward to our Easter Hat Parade

this year to be held on Thursday, 6th April. We would like to

encourage parents and family members to come along in a

hat and join the community parade. It is always a colourful

and exciting part of our year.

Primary and Infants Athletics Carnival

Friday,7th April marks a special time of year when we hold our

Athletics Carnival. Students have been preparing through

school fitness activities and we look forward to seeing our two

houses, Thorpe and Freeman, competing against each other.

Infants will be participating in the carnival through running

races, tabloid events and war cries. It is an exciting time of the

year and we invite parents, carers, and members of our school

community to come along and support our students.

ANZAC Day March

ANZAC Day falls on the Tuesday, 25th April. We are asking for

as many children as possible to join in the Town March.

Students are encouraged to participate in the March to

recognise, commemorate and remember the service men for

our country.

This is the last week of term and I would like to take the opportunity to thank our staff,

students, parents, carers and members of our community for their continued effort in

working together to support the educational achievements of the Broken Hill Public

School Community.

Students will be returning to start an action-packed Term 2 on Wednesday, 26th April. On

LOST PROPERTY If your child has lost any items at school, please check the lost

property bundle outside the Administration Office.

These items will be donated to the Uniform Shop/St Vinnies at the end of Term 1.

Please make sure you clearly label all your child’s belongings

so they can be returned.

P&C and CANTEEN NEWS Canteen will be closed on Thursday, 6th April.

P&C will provide sausages, steak sandwiches and drinks following the Easter Hat Parade

Sausage in bread $2.00 Steak Sandwich $4.00 Drinks $2.00

If anyone is able to help out with the BBQ it would be greatly appreciated.

The Canteen will also be closed on Friday, 7th April. The P&C have organised to have Subway lunches available to order for the Athletics

Carnival with a canteen open at the oval to purchase drinks and chips.
