Welcome back everyone to another great term of learning at
Broken Hill Public School as we continue to inspire the Power Of
Positives (POP).
I will be out of the school Thursday and Friday this week
attending a meeting in Sydney. If you need to see me, I will be
back in the school Monday 6th August, or you may contact
Assistant Principals, Mr Thomas or Mr Dougherty.
Education Week/NAIDOC Week (Week 3)
Next week Broken Hill Public will be celebrating both Education
Week and NAIDOC Week with a variety of activities to
showcase our school.
Our Silver Assembly will be held next Monday 6th August at
11.20am to ‘kick off’ Education Week. This will also be
incorporated with our NAIDOC Assembly.
The Broken Hill Choral Festival (organised by Central) will be held
on Wednesday 8th August at the Musician’s Club. Both Junior
and Senior Choirs will be involved in the afternoon session. Thank
you to Ms Northey for coordinating the organisation of this year’s
festival.
NAIDOC Activities: There are activities planned throughout the
week with K-2 involved in activities on Thursday and Stages 2
and 3 on Tuesday.
Athletics Carnival: Student will be representing Central on
Thursday afternoon in the field events and then our team will be
travelling to Picton Oval on Friday to compete in the track
events.
We look forward to everyone joining us for these events as we
highlight Broken Hill Public School’s ‘Inspiration, Integrity and
Inclusion’.
Athletics Carnival (Week 3): Students will be representing Central on Thursday afternoon in
the field events and then our team will be travelling to Picton Oval on Friday to compete
in the track events.

Term Planner
A term planner is being sent home to all families today that highlight important dates and
events in the school. Please place this in a prominent place to keep you informed. Other
things may ‘crop up’ during the term that are not on the planner but notes will be sent out
with any relevant information.
