Giving imagination to projects for making them beautiful is a balanced activity that makes both the right and left brains to work together. This will give fulfillment for the project engineer. Those who are doing research should have custom of imagination about the research. Without imagination people will often get bored while doing research activities. But doing research with imagination, things will go hand in hand and people will not get bored but be enthusiastic. Bending the sky as bow and twisting sand as rope are illogical imaginations came true. Scientist Albert Einstein discovered that space around large planets are bend (sky is like bow). Dear Engineers,

People who are learning and practicing engineering

ECE Association- ECASTLE (Electronics and

Communication ASsociation of TaLent

Engineers) was inaugurated on July 24th

, 2017.

Four other clubs of the department were also

inaugurated. Dr .M. A. Maluk Mohamed,

Director of MASTER Group of Institutions

presided over the function.

The Chief guest of the function was

Mr.O.Anbhazhahan AGM Sales, BSNL, Trichy .

He addressed the gathering on the Topi Gree

Communication . In this address, he gave an

impact on the effect and hazards of using

Mobile phones, harms of electromagnetic

radiation, etc.

Mrs.S.Kavitha Assoc. Prof, ECASTLE coordinator

read out the club names and their motives:

1. E- Hobby club – To implement Hobby

projects. To crack and analyze complex circuit.

2. E- Coding club – To train students with

coding practices, especially in C, C++, HDLs,

Embedded programming, etc.

3. Robotics club – To have awareness about

robotics by conducting workshop and contest

related to robotics.

4. Creative club – To prepare newsletters,

posters, magazines, videos, etc.

MAMCET-NI LabVIEW academy from the ECE

Department organized a days workshop on

LAB VIEW in the month of July and August. The

beneficiaries are from Final year ECE students

and Pre final Year students of ECE and EEE

department .The objective of the course was

to make the students well trained in LabVIEW

and to face the Certified LabViEW Associate

Developer (CLAD) exam conducted by National

Instruments, Bangalore

The course was coordinated by

Ms.C.Bhuvaneshwari, Asst.Professor and

LabVIEW coordinator, MAMCET-NI LabVIEW

academy. Dr.J.William, Principal, MAMCET

and Dr.B.Annette, Director, Master Skill

Development Institute, felicitated the

programme. The Resource person for the

workshop was former Alumnus of MAMCET,

Ms. Ajantha .S. The students were given

various tasks to have an in depth skill and

exposure with the concepts of LabVIEW/CLAD.

II and III, IV year ECE students visited ISRO Satellite centre, Bengaluru on 18.8.17 with

their Industrial tour plan of 3 days from 18.8.17 to 20.8.17 under the guidance of

Industrial Visit incharge, Mrs.G.S.Sankari Asst. Profesor, ECE Dept. 3 other staff

accompanied the students in the tour. The students were benefited with the knowledge

of launching orbits of satellite. Around 40 students made the visit to ISRO centre.

Students visited the clean room and had the opportunity of witnessing the research

work taking place in the centre. Students involved in arranging the visit were Sathiesh,

Dhinesh kumar from III yr ECE and Shree Balaji. K, Ahamed Anas Arslan A.M from II yr

ECE. As per the feedback given by the faculties the efforts taken in arranging for an

Industrial visit by the students was tremendous. Likewise they have planned to arrange

for an Industrial visit every semester to build a strong interaction with the core

background experts.

ECASTLE and Robotics club, Department of

ECE in association with AGIIT Trichy

organized a one day workshop cum tech

show in the topic Industrial Robotics on

31.08.2017. The workshop was divided into

case study and Hands on session. In the

case study, PLC and SCADA units from

Industry were also demonstrated by the

Application Engineers from AGIIT.

The Industrial application Engineers

Mr.JiJo christo and Mr.Vijay Balaji Handled

the sessions. Mr.N.Kumar Manager, AGIIT

handled the session of accessing the

Industrial MottoMan YASKAWA ROBOT.

The workshop was attended by aorund

150 students in and around Trichy region.

According to the input got from the

participants the live tech show session was

marvelous.

Final Year students of ECE underwent one

week Training /Internship on E edded Systems Programming for sensors and

wireless sensors at APEX Hi-tech Institute,

Bengaluru from August, 28th

, 2017 to

September 1st

, 2017. Apex- Hi tech

institute is the central government

organization aimed at giving proper

practical exposure to the student

community at an affordable cost.

Mr.Raju Kannan ADT , Apex- Hitech Institute,

Bengaluru, handled the sessions on sensors

like PIR and LDR. Hands on session related to

programming were the highlight of this

Internship. Students developed their skill to

make their own projects. After the internship

HoD gave the task to the students to

complete a project report using Embedded

systems under the guidance of Mrs.

K.Karpoorasundari, Associate professor,

Internship incharge, ECE Dept.

Shree Balaji from II yr ECE, has bagged the Internship after clearing three rounds

of selection at Intellify – IIT Delhi. Intellify is a non-profit organization ( a body

made up of students and alumni of IIT Delhi as well as DTU) which in

collaboration with SIC, IIT Delhi is organizing International Science and

Creativity Olympiad -2017.

Around 10 II year ECE students attended a

Two day workshop on Satellite Design and

Launch conducted in the name CANSAT

organized by Sri Ramakrishna Engineering

College, Coimbatore in association with SEDS

(students for Exploration and Development of

space India) from August 30th

, 2017 to August

31st

, 2017.

Students were taught with the launching of

satellite and hands on session to build a

satellite with a prototype modeling. The

session was handled by Mr.Anket Bhateja

from Xovian. The Resource person told the

participants about Xovian and their

achievements in Satellite and space fields.
