The Princess and the Pea

Once upon a time long ago there was a prince.

He wanted to marry a princess so he went to find one.

He saw 3 girls that said that they were princesses.

He didn’t know if they were real princesses so he went back to his castle.

One stormy night he heard a knock at his door.

A dripping wet girl said, “Hi!”

She said, “Can I spend the night in your castle?”

The queen put a green pea on the bottom of the bed and then 20 mattresses on top of the pea.

The next morning the girl said she was black and blue and sore from something in her bed.

They knew she was a real princess because she felt the pea under the

mattresses so they got married.

They lived happily ever after.
