PRINCE2® 2009 Foundation
Course Overview
What You Will Learn
The PRINCE2® method (Projects in Controlled
Environments) is internationally accepted as the leading
"best practice" project management approach. It is the
standard approach within central and local government,
the wider public sector and throughout the private sector.
The method is scalable and can be tailored to reflect any
organisation's existing standards, approaches and
business.
This course outlines the basic principles of project-oriented
working according to the Office of Government Commerce
(OGC's) PRINCE2® methodology. Upon completion of this
course, delegates will have a basic knowledge and
understanding of Project Management and project-based
work.
There is a significant element of syndicate work to the
course in a case study environment, to support a solid
understanding of project-based work according to
PRINCE2®. This course prepares the candidate for the
examination leading to the Foundation Certificate in
PRINCE2® Project Management.
Delegates will be able to organise, plan and control
projects quickly and effectively in accordance with the
PRINCE2® Methodology. The outcome of this knowledge
is the enhanced ability to improve the success rates of
