Take a Fresh Look at... Traditional Real Ale

CAMRA, the Campaign for Real

Ale, recently announced that there are now 1,000 breweries in the UK, with Real Ale making a big comeback in Europe as well. Wetherspoon has been proudly supporting as many micro-breweries as we can and the list of breweries we order from is forever growing. Our main beers we always stock are Greene King's Ruddles Best and Abbot Ale, but we also stock the Ale of Wales, Brains SA, brewed only a 1/4 mile away! We also support many local breweries as well, including Celt, Rhymney, Bullmastiff and Vale of Glamorgan, amongst others. If there are ales that you would like to see us get on the pubs then speak to a manager today and we will do what we can to get it in. Did you know as well that all of our ales are Cask Marque accredited?

Autumn Real Ale Festival 2012 Starting October 24 through to

November 11 we see the return of the World's Biggest Real Ale Festival. It's been a pretty big feature of our calendar for years now and it's a way for us to celebrate our great links with brewers, not just in the UK but also from across the world. This festival is no different, with guest brewers from Australia, Canada, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Netherlands and the USA, as well as some classic some brews from across the UK as well. Look out for more information nearer the time or check out www.jdwrealale.co.uk for updates too.

Student offers open to all... Student Express

September can only mean one thing

for us, and in some ways, other pubs and clubs too: the Freshers! We love them here at the Prince of Wales. Many of you may have seen the voucher booklets they have been carrying around with them with little coupons to rip off and save a few

pennies their family will have given them

before they left home. Don't we all remember it? But don't be too jealous of them, as here at the Prince we have some cracking offers available all day every day that you don't have to be a student to enjoy the great value.

Carlsberg, Strongbow and John Smiths covers most bases to start off with, at only £1.99 a pint and served between 1-3*c you cant go wrong. But there's also our great bottled range too, with 2 for £5 on Desperados, Budweiser, Corona, Peroni, Smirnoff Ice and WKD Blue, and if you ladies fancy a nice bottle of wine, our great tasting Hardy's Chardonnay, Rose and Merlot are £6.99 a bottle.

Great value, all day, every day. Check out our drinks menu for more offers and details.

10 years, £6 million raised.... CLIC Sargent

If any of you have read up our

Wetherspoon News for Autumn 2012, you'll have read about our partnership with CLIC Sargent, a charity for Children with Cancer. We've been strong supporters of this charity for the last 10 years and at the start of September, Tim Martin, founder and Chairman of J D Wetherspoon, had the pleasure of traveling to the charity's head office and handing them a cheque for £6 million, which has been raised by all of the pubs over the last 10 years we've had the partnership. The Prince of Wales has alone raised nearly £10,200 which we're very proud to say we've been a part of.

How can you help these children though? Well we have our charity boxes on the bars to chuck your odd pennies into, especially the 1p you get from your pint of Carlsberg or Strongbow, and even if only a few of you can spare that much, it's better than nothing! Please help us support this fantastic charity and also watch out for our CLIC events where we hope to raise even more! Thank you!

A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR There's nothing we like more than keeping our fans, customers and even local businesses up to date with our work and what we do, so we thought 'hey let's make a newsletter!' So we did just that! We're hoping it'll be a real success and keep you informed of all things Prince. Bear with us on this, we will hopefully get it right first time! If you've got any comments or things you'd like to see in here then get in contact with us using the contacts below or let us know on Facebook or Twitter!

Enjoy!
