Dear Families and Friends of Prince of Peace Catholic School, Today we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Mary is the Immaculate Conception. As we wait this Advent season, we also live in our busy days. We have children to care for, meals to prepare, chores to get completed, many places to run kids around to in the car, shopping to get done, and the list goes on. Then during these busy days, we are not only occupied with tasks to complete, we also have worries to fill our mind - and there are always lots of these. We may worry about a child who seems to be under the weather, we worry about situations at our work, we worry about elderly parents, we worry about getting ready for family visitors or upcoming travel… Imagine a young girl with child – Mary. Her life changed in an instant with her yes in accepting the will of God. She certainly had many things she could have worried about and many unknowns ahead of her. Yet by placing her trust in God, we know she was not a stressed out mess getting ready for Jesus. She was a holy vessel. As we wait this Advent season and as we live our busy days, possibly we can turn to our Mother Mary for consolation. We could say yes ourselves to Jesus by growing closer to Him in the weeks ahead, keeping Him in our hearts and homes. May God bless your families today and always. Peace Friends, Jane Shriver Principal #igivecatholic The iGiveCatholic Campaign was a huge success! Prince of Peace Catholic School totals, with online giving and also giving at the school, totaled over $15,000.00. Most importantly was your participation in whatever manner you were able to participate. Prince of Peace had the largest number of contributors through iGiveCatholic in our Archdiocese! This speaks much about the generous heart of our community! These funds will be used to purchase science books and resources. Donations were made by school families, grandparents, alumni, alumni families, and others. Thank you for giving and for sharing the news of iGiveCatholic!
