1.  Development Overview

Cayman Grand Harbour is one of Cayman’s mostsuccessful multi-use residential, retail, office, andentertainment master-planned communities developed on 190 ± acres in a prime location on theEastern side of George Town. Conceptualised in thelate eighties, its developers spent 10 years acquiring,designing and installing the waterway infrastructurefor the community to a higher quality than any otherdevelopment in the Cayman Islands.

The first phase broke ground in the late nineties with

the retail/commercial centre anchored by Hurley’snew supermarket and a selection other high qualitytenants, providing a highly useful amenity to thesurrounding community and forming an anchor thefuture phases of the development.

The next three phases brought some of the highestquality residential canal front lots onto the market inthe form of South Reach, The Isles and The Estates.The engineered lots boast unique keystone sea-wallwhich are fully de-mucked, marl filled to 6’± abovemean sea level, cambered and crested to ensureeffective storm-water drainage.

During Hurricane Ivan these unique selling pointsproved their value and ensured that storm andespecially flood damage was insignificant as mosthomes there and the Shoppes had their ground floorsset well above the 8-foot storm surge.
