Parent Information SheetFluent in Five:
Children should complete the 3 questions on the specified days. They should do as many as possible in 5 minutes. Your child can use any objects to help workout the answers such as coins, toys, raisins, dried pasta or their fingers.
Word Problems:
Look at the pictures and read the problem with your children, they can then with support, add in the digits and correct operation symbol ( =, - and =)
Addition and subtraction explorers:
Encourage your child to draw a line to match the calculation to the correct answer.
The alphabet and consonant sheets
Write the correct small letters next to the pictures. Say what the picture is and fill in the gaps in the consonant sheet to write the words.
Little Red:
Read the poem with your child, they can then answer the question to show their understanding of it. The children can then write their answers in the spaces provided. Please feel free to write for those who are struggling, this activity is mainly about understanding.
Farmyard animals
Say what the picture is then use your sounds to write the animals names under the pictures.
Odd one out
Read each list of words. Can you circle the odd one out? As a challenge can you think of another word to add to the list?
Science materials hunt
In our science lessons we have investigated different materials. For this activity you should look around your house for the objects and see if they can be made from different materials. For example, in my house I have spoons made from wood and metal. Tick to show which objects are made from different materials.
