Q1. What is your gender? These answers showed us that the majority of the people who

answered were females. This benefits us as we are currently using

actresses, so this will allow the audience watching to relate more to the

characters.

Q2. What is your age? This shows us that the majority of our audience are in the age

bracket 16-18. Our actresses are aged 16, so this allows this age

group to relate more to the characters we are using.

Q3. What is your favourite genre of film? From these responses we can see that the two most popular genres are thriller

and romance. This somewhat supports the plan of our film as it is from the thriller

genre. However we have not included an element of romance. The second most

popular response was comedy. We have altered our film slightly to adapt to this

genre, as a small element of comedy has been introduced.

Q4. What do you specifically enjoy about your favourite genre? We received a range of responses to this question. A few of our responses worked with the thriller

genre such as ‘Being on the edge of my seat’, ‘the unexpected’ and ‘its exciting because there is

always a sense of mystery’. These all work with our film as a sense of mystery is created through the

use of an all black figure. This could leave the audience on the edge of their seats as the two main

characters are unaware of this figure. Therefore, ‘the unexpected’ is going to occur.

Q5. What gender do you prefer the main role to be in a film? The answer to this question had a halfway split of male and female.

This somewhat works with the aspect of our film as we have two

female main roles. However, no male characters are involved.

Q6. What age actors / actresses do you prefer to watch? The most common age in answer to this question was 18-30 year olds.

This does not work with our thriller film as neither of our actresses are

between that age gap. However, we felt that it was best for the members

of our group to be in this film, rather than characters of other ages.

Q7. What narratives / sub-genres do you prefer in a film?A common narrative which was suggested was friendship, which is an

element which our film includes. Another suggestion was comedy,

which is also slightly included in our film as a sub – genre.

Q8. How many main actors/actresses do you like to typically

see in a film? The main response to this question was ‘2 to 6’. This is good as our

thriller overall contains 3 characters (2 main characters).

Q9. What interests do you have outside of film?We asked this question to see if we were able to include an element of these

hobbies into our film. However, this would not fit into the plot of our film and

would be completely random.

Q10. What time of day to you typically prefer a film to be?The majority of the responses answered ‘evening’. When it

comes to editing we are going to dim the lighting to create the

effect of it being filmed in the evening.
