What this article can do is provide some ideas on keeping up with the amazing resolutions you make. DONT make your resolution an unbreakable law. If it feels like a tyrannical burden, you are going to resent it, and ultimately stop following it. Let your resolution be flexible so if you miss a day, you still will be on track. DO write them down somewhere visible. Trying to do something new can be difficult; a little reminder everyday can keep you going. You can also keep track of your progress to see how well you are doing in achieving your goal. DONT make them unrealistic. Think about how your daily schedule usually goes. Chances are, your habits will not automatically change when the calendar flips to January 1st, but you can work within your usual schedule. Do not set resolutions that require hours of your time and conflict with your usual commitments. DO start small. Consider that you have an entire year to work up to a bigger goal and that you want your resolution to be worthwhile. There is no need to rush. DONT have them rely on other people. Sometimes we share resolutions with other people, like a best friend. If they drop the resolution, you may lose motivation. One last tip is to consider the “habit loop” of your current behaviors. According to the author of The Power of Habit, Charles Duhigg, habit loops consist of (1) a familiar cue; (2) performance of the routine action; (3) a reward . Think about what inspires you to do something regularly and what you like about this routine in order to figure out how to implement a new resolution into your daily life. No article can tell you what you should resolve to do in 2017. Only you can figure out what is best for you, but the possibilities are endless. What this article can do is provide some ideas on keeping up with the amazing resolutions you make.

Don’t make your resolution an unbreakable law.

Don’t make them unrealistic.

Don’t have them rely on other people.

Netflix and De-stress

Finals are finished, the temperature is quickly dropping, and you have an entire month ahead to do everything you have been wanting to do – whether it be earning extra spending money, going on exciting winter adventures, or just snuggling up in a pile of blankets and losing yourself in Netflix® for hours. Winter break provides a long-awaited opportunity to do any or all of these things. No matter if you want to watch Netflix all day or in addition to other win-ter activities, here are some recommendations for what to watch now that you finally have the time.

1. Black MirrorNetflix recently added this British series that delves into the dark side of life and technology. Millennials have been criticized for our overuse of technology, but this show places you in another world entirely – where gadgets are changing the way of life in ways we could not even imagine.

2. Stranger ThingsIf you have not seen it yet and are looking for a short binge (only one season), Stranger Things is an intense and thrilling sci-fi show that hooked viewers

this past semester. There are conspiracies, supernat-ural occurrences, and, as if we needed more, really adorable kids.

3. SherlockAre you worried that your brain will turn to mush during break? The witty banter and mysteries in the popular show Sherlock is a fun way to chal-lenge your mind this break. If you loved Benedict Cumberbatch in Doctor Strange, you will love this series, in all of its 90-minute episode glory.

4. Parks and RecreationThis show is a perfect pick-me-up, which is much needed after a stressful semester. You will be hard-pressed to stop watching these goofy coworkers and their adventures in a small-town Indiana govern-ment.

5. Captain America: Civil WarIf you did not get the chance to see this in theatres, now is your chance to watch Team Cap versus Team Iron Man in the comfort of your own bed (and without the $10 popcorn). Almost everyone loves a superhero movie, but this movie can appeal to all audiences with its romance, comedy, and action.
